I think I lucked out as a kid. My uncle used to play AC/DC and the Misfits for me all the time when I was 6, so I kinda skipped over the whole "I can't believe I used to listen to that garbage" phase of my youth. ![]() |

kellychaos | My first tape (set) was "The Beatles Vol I & II". I bought it @ 10 years old and listened to it until I broke the ribbons sometime around high school. Now, I'm so burned out on them that I'll generally switch radio stations if they're on unless I'm really in the mood.

Weird Al and The Monkees were two of my biggest bands when I was a kid. Plus, The Monkees had their own TV show re-runs on Nickelodeon which was a nice bonus. And then there was Billy Joel. I probably listened to Billy Joel more than anything. He went to the same high school as my parents 'n shit and they had always liked his music so they got me into it at a very young age. I've always liked his music and I still listen to it today. I recently bought this 4-CD box set, and it's really amazing just how many well written, and extremely catchy hits he had. Damned good set... |

Royal Tenenbaum | I listened to the Beatles religiously in elementary school. All other bands sucked until Grade 7.
