Alone in the Wilderness http://www.dickproenneke.com/alone_i...ilderness.html I saw this on PBS a few years ago. This is my eventual dream. Though I would miss i-mockery (fuck you guys), I've wanted for years to drop out of society and do something like this. I would hole up in a remote region of Alaska and write my little manifestos and eat bear and elk steaks. And this guy did this from the time he was 51 until his early 80s. That "most interesting man in the world" from the Dos Equis commercials ain't shit. Richard Proenneke is the baddest man since Lewis & Clark. |
