Oh man, Chojin. That is some awesome shit! ![]() I'm listening to it a third time, and I really dig it. I've messed around with Fruity Loops before, but I could never come up with something like this. Mainly because all of that stuff confuses the fuck out of me. Anyways, Great work! ![]() I've been mixing some stuff with GoldWave, for an album I'm going to release. I'll post some stuff once I finish. ![]() |

i understood roughly a fifth of that :< what is this reason :< and what is the fruity synth :< and i'm about to go to bed but i need to see if you have aim since you apparently know how to do non-notey stuff so my crap won't sound like glorified midis and i can do more NEERRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUEERRRRRREERRRRR noises and stuff and floaty things in the background adn zzzzzzzzzzz |

I've been using Fruity for years. I still use 3.5 so I don't know how the new version handles effects, but probably through DX plugins.. you can find tons on Kazaa I'm guessing. I use Sound Forge to edit my samples and Beatslicer to cut up loops... but that's more for drum n bass and I dunno if you're into breaks. Checked out your track and it's decent, but it kinda sounds like it was made with Fruity if that makes any sense. More layers and build-up would be cool. Sound quality was really good through my speakers. Pretty nice for your first time using the program. I'm not sure how to exactly bend notes with a sample, but one trick I do to get around the limitation is line up a few notes on the Fruity keyboard so in a 'scale' sorta way it sounds right note-wise. Then, cut the sample off (I forget the name of the option for this - basically not letting it finish once another note is hit), then add some effects to cover the editing tracks... depending on the sample it can work out well. If you're just using the Fruity synth none of this is an issue though. Another thing I do is double (sometimes triple) the tempo in Fruity of what I want the track to be. That way if you want to have little machine gun snare/hat fills, the option is there... you just spread your beat out more. Oh, and layering kicks and snares for oomph is fun sometimes. Have you tried Reason at all? |

i am trying to learn fruityloops :< so i made my first fruityloops songish thing MAXX Xtasy It uses samples from MAX 300 for instruments and the flute background part. But yeah, it's my firsty. Give me hints on how to do anything. I'd like to know how to bend notes and put on gradual flanger and other effects so I can do trance and stuff. |
