bucked by a segway! i'm surprised gw didnt get a black eye or break his neck considering that he almost killed himself with a pretzel. what i want to know is did he keep trying or give up with a 'whew, that thing is dangerous!' ? |

| mburbank | that's not your leg. Slap him. |

Vinth doesn't understand that a place like Harvard has a reputation, and a couple rich guys with C averages aren't worth it when there are a couple other rich guys who'll pull off straight A's. Of course, since he "helps" kids "make the right choice" regarding college at his "private school", I'm sure that he's just pulling our leg. |

Vinth, we should call you 'Jewell', 'cause you change your tune so easily. So now you think all it took was the ability to pay full tuition? Mayybe at your school. AND if you were right, (you're not) that would merely be an admission that W. didn't get in on merit. Your slippery dodging only verifies that you already know that. |

See? I told you, Max. Remove the money and there's no way Georgey would get in. |

| Zhukov | Has GW gotten done for insider trading at any stage? |
| Jun 13th, 2003 10:48 AM | |
| VinceZeb | Yes, he could still get in if it was someone elses name and address. Trust me, drop a full tuition on the desk of a harvard admission rep's desk and those C averages will be "overlooked". |

| AChimp | Think of the thousands of other people who are smarter than Bush and can also pay for it that don't get in. |
| Jun 13th, 2003 10:46 AM | |
| pjalne | Note that the question was whether he could get in without using his name or money. |

Oh what, it suprises you that colleges will accept people if they have connections and can pay for it? Man, a business accepting money from someone who can pay for it. Wow, what a shocker! |

Okay, here' follow up. Are you stupid or lying? You're IN admissions. Your institution may not have a set of standards including grades and SAT's and GMAT's bellow which they won't concder an applicant, but Harvard and Yale generally do. Only his alumni connections, family and Skull and Bones legacy coould have possibly gotten him in. You seriously believe he got in on academic merit? Seriously? Honestly? You know he rarely broke C's in high school and Harvard? How many other C students are wandering around Harvard and Yale? Could it be the ones who's families give the schools buildings and playing fields? You really, seriously, truly believe academic merit got him in? Oh, wait, maybe it was his extra cariculars. I forgot he was a male cheerleader. |

| AChimp | Max, you forgot about "removing the money paperclipped to the application form." |
| Jun 13th, 2003 10:25 AM | |
| VinceZeb | Yes. |
| Jun 13th, 2003 10:22 AM | |
| mburbank | Seriously, Vince (and see, I called you 'Vince' becuase I'm serious here) do you honestly think that if you took W's apllications to Yale and Hravard and put someone else's name and address on them that he would ever have gotten into those institutions? Be honest. |

- My achievements are not what's disussed here, but if you want my resumé I'd be happy to send you a copy. - As for 'liberal': tags like 'liberal', 'conservatist', 'republican', 'democrat' and so on don't apply outside the US. We do of course have similar terms, but they don't reflect on the same political situation. - As for 'whiner': I'm pretty sure I'm not the first guy people on this board will think of when they hear that word. - As for 'bedwetter': not going to dignify that one. Solid sentence structure, though. |

pj, would you call being a bedwetting liberal whiner an achievement? If so, then expect a Nobel prize in the mail. |

| Protoclown | El Blanco, of course we've all tripped over our feet. What I find so funny about this whole thing is that Segway keeps talking about how nearly impossible it is to lose balance and tip one of those things over! And yet Bush found a way... |

| pjalne | Achievements? Hmmm... Would you actually call killing thousands of one's own soldiers and civilian Iraqis an 'achievment'? Cause in that case, Proto has a lot of work to do. |

| El Blanco | Proto, ever trip over your own two feet? We all have. the President just has amillion cameras on him. So he's a clutz. |

Whatever... This is so lame. I bet PROTO never had his daddy help him dodge the draft, or snort coke. What a loser. You can't EVEN compete with that. |

Vince, I will be fucking HAPPY to take the Pepsi challenge with George W. Bush's college grades any day. My in-major grade point average was a 3.4. Overall was a 3.0. Can somebody find any information on what Bush's scores were? |
| Jun 13th, 2003 12:52 AM | |
| Immortal Goat | Oh, Vinth had at least ONE thing handed to him by daddy, but that is not allowed to be discussed du to a court order that keeps that file closed. |

George W: Had everything handed to him by daddy. Proto: Has not had everything handed to him by daddy. |
| Jun 13th, 2003 12:46 AM | |
| VinceZeb | Proto, do we once again have to measure George W's achievements and education against yours? |
