McClain They should add features where you can decapitate your victim then place their head in a rucksack which you tied to the end of your Vespa with some dental floss. You could parade around the noggins like a blue ribbon. Other head hunters would give chase and try and take your heads.
BUT!....
Therein lies the danger! Toting all those goddamn domes behind your scooter might alarm the authorities! If they catch wind of your antics, they'll hit the sirens and chase you through the park. This is when you'd have the option of ditching the scooter, bagging the heads and climbing a tree (dropping decapitated heads on your foes gives you a bonus) or you could bury them, using your MasterCard as a makeshift shovel. BUT YOU HAVE A TIME LIMIT!

Professor Cool Although thats kinda ahead of our time, that would be the greatest game ever.

noob3 They need to make it a mmorpg.

You wouldn't be able to distinguish a human player from a computer player. It'd be a huge city, enough for a server of people. You could go in and out of buildings. Get money and become powerful, hire goons to kill people for you and countrol the city. It would be one small, big city. If that makes sense. You could be a cop, you could get any random job. It'd be like grand theft sims. That's why online play would be fun. If you got killed, your character would end up in a hospital. If you have medicare. You could go to jail, and you could bust your friends out. You could work together with your friends to rob a bank, and evade the cops.

And your character could become a junkie.
I have alot of ideas, but this is just my delerious rambling

Most people would say it'd be too chaotic, it wouldn't be choatic at all. Everyoen would start with nothing, and the towns citizens are very anti-crime. So if you run up to some random person and punch her, the towns good samaritans would kick your ass. So you have to be careful, get a job. It wouldn't be hard to make money, but just hard enough so if you wanted weapons, it'd take some time. Eventually, yeah, it would just be one big street war going on all the time. But that'd be cool, because the city would adapt. Stores would get tighter security, or at a higher spectrum tanks would start patrolling the streets. You'd have to eat. And sleep. You'd need an ingame apartment, if you slept on the street like a hobo you'd get mugged. You could rob peoples houses.

People could be pushers, like in dope wars. And drugs would have in-game effects, so people would waste thier in-game money on them. Youcould become a junkie! Fun!

There'd be charts, like in infantry. Listing the people with top 100 kills, cash, ect.

SLjimbo I liked in GTA 2 how you were able to choose your own gang and the events branch out differently depending on your status with the gang. It was different in 3 and Vice City, it was pretty straight-forward as you basically tried to complete every mission for every person or gang.

I hope in GTA 4 you'll be able to choose from multiple gangs and the story differs on which gang you choose.

in vice city i wish you could shoot a shotgun on a bike, t2 style!

i always use bikes, they cool man! even the scooter.

anyways, an offical multiplayer mode would be cool, like an online rpg, without the elves. but can you imagine the chaos in a city with 30 players? that would rock!

As for and online version of GTA:VC, i've been saying that from the begining, but i would agree that a MMO version would suck. You know there would be campers who would just wait at the hospitals for you to come out and kill you, then when you respawned there they would be again.

But i think it would be cool to hop it the back of a truck while your friend drove and started opening fire on the other players.

whoreable i need to locate my vc isos. I want to test out this multiplayer thing.

I am sorry but pratcicaly every game is better with multiplayer. I have felt this way ever since I really got into nintendo games. I would rather play a sort of shitty 2 player game with a friend than play a good single player game by myself.

The only OTHER thing that might be interesting, would be a maximum of 4 players in versus games that span across the entire town. If you're limited to one area (or even smaller than that), it's pretty fucking lame. But if you're trying to track one another across the entire city, that might be really fun.
That is pretty much how it was like in GTA2. The areas were smaller cities but still big enough to have some area to hide out, climb buildings or do whatever. You also had arrows with different colors pointing to which direction the others players were at.

The competition is fun. Play GTA or GTA2 with some people and see if you enjoy it. It's good.

Yeah I'd be interested in trying this out to see what it is like. Not sure how much I'll be around this weekend though. I'm on the computer now at work for a while so maybe I'll take a look at it now.

James The only thing I could see online multiplayer being any good for, would be a co-op mode, like Halo.

Racing can suck my ass. Deathmatches can suck my ass. Running around killing things at random together can suck my ass. I don't see how any of those would be fun in a GTA game.

timrpgland I used to play GTA2 on a few networked computers here with friends. It is great fun just killing each other various ways and having road wars. Instant gangs and all. If you can't see how that would be fun on its own then oh well.

edit: I have VC on PC but it isn't exactly "official." I wonder if it would still work.

What would be so great about online multiplayer? What would you end up doing with it?
This is a joke or a trick question right? I can't think of any game ever made that wouldnt benefit from some form of Multiplayer mode..

Take for instance Wc3, i gauruntee some of the best battles you guys had were probably vs a human player... The dymanics and tactics are always gonna be different and fresh.

in terms of these 3rd gen Gta games (gta3 and VC) the multiplayer portion is absolutely a blast, you get to run people over and then talk shit to em... Toss a nade as they try to setup a stunt do all kinds of obnoxious shit... They are also working in a Co-op mode were you can team up with buddies and and do the missions like you said, i'm kinda looking forward to that actually. I agree , when you have alot of smacktards running around bioeng stupid it IS gay, but it is still fun to play against other players, race em- see how many cops you can kill etc...

If you got Vc on PC ill host a game. check it out, chances are you'll get a kick outa it

James There were plenty of new features in Vice City. Not enough to call it a sequel (which is why they didn't, duh), but plenty new additions over GTA3. I'm very sure that there will be plenty of new additions to GTA4.

And even if there aren't, I'm still going to buy it.

As for online, OK. Those features I could maybe see. By some people want a MMO game, where everyone just runs around killing one another. And that's just gay. But playing with one or two buddies for some sort of online mission stuff wouldn't be half bad.

But I still don't see the big deal over online play.

Back to the original question. Perhaps some destroyable/interactive objects? Like, maybe there could be a giant statue, and you can knock it over with a carefully placed rocket. Then you can climb up it to get to some hidden package or something.

Another thing I'd like, is the ability to disguise yourself from gangs. If I'm in a cop car or something, I really don't think gangs should be able to recognize me. That way, if you missed something in an area where you're "marked," you can go back with a sense of safety.

I'd also like the planes and boats to handle better. A lot better. Moreso the boats than the planes.

And of course, more interior areas.

Cap'n Crunch In the first GTA, you could play multiplayer against people, in like races, or you can see who gets the most kills. Possibly working to beat the game together or something could be an option.

If they make a new one exactly the same way again with no new features except missions, I won't buy it.

timrpgland It would be nice if there were some cool places to hang out and spend money. More realism. Shops selling misc stuff for your properties and additions/upgrades to your cars, casinos, bars where you can get tight and then go out drinking/driving, and all that kind of stuff.

Making GTA better?

Grand theft auto is already a great game, but how would you make it better? More cars, different people, better weapons? what would you change or add.
