Protoclown | Agreed. Derek Robertson is definitely not up to his Transmetropolitan standard with this work. |

... The art is lacking too. I could probably do a better job myself. |

Protoclown | I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It's not what I expected, but I'm not sure I find it disappointing either. I'll have to wait until the whole thing is finished before I see how much I like it. |

Born I'm probably the only person alive disappointed with the latest Garth Ennis "masterpiece." I'm getting a little tired of the whole "as told through the eyes of someone besides the main character" bit Ennis has been using lately... it really didn't work with Just a Pilgrim, and it's hindering this book as well. I was hoping for some real down-and-gritty Frank Castle philosophical views on the whole "Vietnam phenomenon." Instead I've been left wondering, what the hell? Leading a dumb-witted two-star general to his death? Isn't that a little un-Castle like? Punishing the guilty is his game, not punishing those who might piss him off. I was psyched when I first heard this series was coming out. Now I'm just... crying. |
