The worst thing about Bloodlust: The DVD only has a barely audible English track. The first VHD wasn't groundbreaking, but it was enjoyable. It had a futuristic world that meshed with a century gothing style, that made for a very interesting world. The creatures and story were good enough to make you enjoy the whole time you were watching, and the animation had that classic gritty feel to it that I pretty much require of my animes. None of this computer-clean pretty-as-shit stuff like Princess Mononoke or whatever. But Bloodlust REALLY ignored all of that. It's not even connected to the first movie, and the world seems more like a post-apocolyptic future, rather that one that combines technology with an older, Victorian feel. They also placed too much focus on a group of hunters who you could give two shits about. People wanted to see D, and we get a group of people so forgettable, I can't even remember what happened to them, or what they looked like, or what purpose they served. |

Most of those replies sucked. Get Kenshin, Wolf's Rain & maybe Naruto. I would recommend Wolf's Rain the most though. -ralex |

I saw "Please Save My Earth" recently. The animation quality was pretty decent and the story was ok but it ended quite abruptly. Not really recommended but entertaining nonetheless. I also saw Street Fighter II V (series) and Street Fighter Alpha. I wasn't impressed with either. |

Rongi | And it was even dumber when they tried to make it more dramatic when that stupid biker chick cheered them on

Anonymous | At some point, Proto said that he hated Bloodlust, but I don't know what he thinks of the original.

Not sure if it was said or not. But one anime worth watching is Vampire Hunter D. One anime worth avoiding, is Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. |

Anonymous | Not all of them. The wimpy hero winds up holding the head of his best friend (who turned evil for no reason) and crying. What a great movie.

Ninjavenom | They all died in the end, Doctor. Isn't that what it's all about?
