Zhukov [i] Oi, you are tiring.

Before your latest absence, you claimed you were getting ready to go to South America to join some rebel bunch and you literally bragged about getting the chance to shoot at Americans. You joined some program that selected some wannabe Che.

You also explained how it was between either you or some old woman with a child. And then you told us she was selected.
Oh... I forgot about that. I thought you meant me escaping via pushing an old woman into armed thugs. No armed thugs.

I said I was going to Venezuala for a little while as part of a government program that brought foreigners there to view the situation. Every socialist party branch in each australian state got the chance to send a few people depending on that partiucular states size. I put my name down in my local branch, and because of her child the lady that was originaly chosen gave her spot to me.

I stayed in a hotel. It got cut short and I went home. I recall saying that I would get to shoot people as a misplaced joke. Christ. There are no US soldiers in Venezuela.

"LITERALLY BRAGGED".

Are you happy? ?? ? I mean, really, It wasn't that big a deal. You love baiting me.
Now, you can of course deny all this and I can't back it up because the damned search function has never worked here. However, this might be your opportunity to be a man for the first time and admit to it all.

kahljorn "Naturally, the Russians will deny that they were ever involved in the plot to kill one of the most revered leaders of our time, but I think that most people have a healthy idea of where the truth actually lays."

OH I THINK WE KNOW TOO SIR

El Blanco I'd be funnier, but I can never make it through half of what you type. Its just so bad.

That, and you really aren't worth the effort. You aren't even posting your own original thoughts. Just more bullshit you got off a pamphlet somewhere.

You always loved making me out to be the vince of the left, in horribly unfunny, over-the-top ways. It really is good to be visiting here again.

mburbank My chronolgy may be wrong, but I thought the Reds did Afghansitan to try to one up us over Vietnam. It's like, we had this wicked outdoor grill, and they bought one had two independent cooking stations so we bought one with two independent cooking stations and a hot tub.

El Blanco You don't count Viet Nam?
Mar 3rd, 2006 10:32 AM
mburbank THAT'S a cat fight I'd PAY to see!

They only tried to kill the Pope on account of all those times we tried to kill Castro. They were just late. But when your trading failure for failure there's no real sense of punctuality. Like, Afghanistan totally bankrupted the soviets, and look how long it's taken us to come up with a staellite war of our own to go bankrupt over. It's just keeping up with the Jonses on a national scale.

KevinTheOmnivore The Pope kicked the Soviet Union's ass.

And Kult, this is old news. Haven't former Kremlin officials come out and said it? I really don't see your point here.

Zhukov The Soviets would have killed him, not almost killed him.
Mar 3rd, 2006 02:14 AM
Big Papa Goat I dunno, I think he raised a pretty good point right there.

OAO that is.

Seriously though, everyone knows the USSR was behind the assasination.
But hey skinhead, as long as we're talking about irrelevant over the top evil, did you know that Hitler killed all the intellectuals in Poland because he didn't want anyone to know that Polish people could be intelligent? I gotta imagine if the Nazis were around to see a Polish pope they wouldn't have been too happy about that, whether he opposed their policies or not, wouldn't make much sense for a polak to be all pious and revered and such.

MLE I really despise you, OAO. You have no redeeming qualities.

None.

Soviets Tried To Kill Pope

From: Yahoo.

ROME - An Italian parliamentary commission has concluded "beyond any reasonable doubt" that the Soviet Union was behind the 1981 shooting of
Pope John Paul II, the first time an official body has blamed the Kremlin for the failed assassination.

The draft report, obtained by The Associated Press Thursday, said the pope was considered a threat to the Soviet bloc because of his support for the Solidarity labor movement in his native Poland. Solidarity was the first free trade union in communist eastern Europe.

The Italian report said Soviet military intelligence — and not the KGB — was responsible. Russian Foreign Intelligence Service spokesman Boris Labusov called the accusation "absurd."

It is not surprising to most anyone that the USSR would assassinate even the most revered world leaders who opposed their repressive policies; it is just further evidence of the hardline that the Communists took, and their foolish Realpolitik that would have them disregard even the most basic human rights that people have.

Naturally, the Russians will deny that they were ever involved in the plot to kill one of the most revered leaders of our time, but I think that most people have a healthy idea of where the truth actually lays.
