| kellychaos | Fast food wages fill the need of senior citizens who don't want to earn enough money to affect their social security checks and those teenages who have no job skills but want to earn enough money for the car payment while mommy and daddy pay off the outrageous insurance rates to cover him/her. It's a social necessity, not a skilled labor, unionized job with benefits that you take on for life ... unless you're the manager who, for some reason, stuck around long enough to go to McCollege and ten years later is still in the same store wondering whatever happened to his dream of pursuing a degree in underwater basketweaving. Unionized McOutHouse  - I agree, McOutHouse's staffing policy shouldn't be financially supported by those that still believe in dignity of work which includes a living wage. I don't know if the outlet is still in business, but it's worth noting that in the Canadian province Quebec staff at this particular outlet managed to be at one time the world's only unionized McOutHouse, something I'm sure that the McExecutroids at head office would rather other staff elsewhere be kept in McIngnorance.

tis true that most any 'fast food' place isnt really good for you, i'm just interested in who is better if i'm going to slum it for food once in a while.. i've Never heard anything good about bking, tacobell, kfc, or any others.. /shrug |

This is good to hear. For once a corporation is doing the right thing before they get sued. However, I contest the notion that this will somehow hurt the "quality" of the burgers. They are low grade meat to my understanding, and they likewise contain soy protein anyway. |

Do you think their food will taste more like hamburger now that it's not made with hamburger but has "100% real hamburger flavoring"? Did you know that you can order a Burger King without the "flame broiled taste"? It's because it's a flavoring. I feel so violated!

Support McDonalds? For all the corporate slamming i do i must admit that i do look for the lesser of two evils when i can.. McDonald's said its new policy calls for the elimination of antibiotic drugs some producers have used to help animals grow faster. It sets standards for its direct suppliers and encourages indirect suppliers to take similar steps. "We take seriously our obligation to understand the emerging science of antibiotic resistance," the company, based in Oak Brook, Illinois, said in a statement. Two major U.S. meat producers that supply McDonald's, Tyson Foods Inc. and privately held agribusiness conglomerate Cargill Inc., were part of a coalition that created the policy, McDonald's said. The policy comes amid heightened consumer awareness over the use of additives in food production, including a backlash against genetically modified crops.
