Heh, okay. Then I guess I'll make this officially 'not my problem' and leave it to another family member to take care of. I don't mind not getting serious answers. I wasn't annoyed. You - anybody - shouldn't bother trying to read if there's sarcasm in my posts. I hate sarcasm and I've pretty much vowed never to use it again in my entire life. It's possible that occasionally, it pops up - I have used it succesfully for a long time, and I've had it used against me for as long as I can remember. But if I use it, against my will, it will never make up the bulk of my post. |

When you explicitly ask for a serious answer around here you're bound to get a lot of 'COCK! HAHA! FUCK YOU!' styled replies. To the best of my knowledge, old cats can't be house-trained. At least not completely. Prepare to clean poop out of room corners a lot. |

Hey, fellow cat lovers, I have a problem. We're doing some reconstruction to the house and we took out the back door with the little cat door in it, and put a large window instead. Now the cats can't go outside the shit anymore and we have to train them to start going into their litterbox. Problem is, they're used to going outside and we're not sure how to teach them. I hadn't looked into the problem yet as construction isn't finished yet, and we can afford to just leave the door open all the time - but eventually that will cease to be a possibility. How have you trained your cat to shit in a box, and has anyone ever trained an old one that had grown into the habit of going outside? (We have two cats. One so old it's almost dead, and one really young and small). Thank you for your help, fellow cat friends. |
