Slobulus I did use photoshop cs2 and i used their default brushes. I'll screen print it so you can see exactly which ones I use. Also, after I installed my wacom tablet, it generated the brush dynamics automatically.

I do have one custom set of brushes that were given to me by a professional colorist which you might like. Theyre very texturized like actual paint brushes. :]

MLE ;D it looked like it was colored very very similarly. Did you use painter, then? It looks too clean to be photoshop work (and if it is, please give those brush files to me <3)

nah, I just grabbed some old sketches and layered them over with colors in similar ways we did in Oc.
These were also done about a week prior to our first Oc session with all them feets and monsters.

Thanks regardless.

Emu I'm more aroused by that Venom one than I think I should be.

Slobulus Thanks man. You know.. Im actually more worried about the new madballs because theyre twice as soft as the originals. I like bouncing em around but I had to buy doubles just incase the ones i messed with got damaged. I think its inevitable over time.

I bought my wacom tablet a few months back before I decided to make something while using it. The madballs were great fun. I will be doing 4 more and casting them with real foam.

Kitsa Those were all excellent madballs. I wish mine had been that cool. Instead, their foamy coating just cracked after a while.

Slobulus Thanks a lot Rookie! =] I am working professionally in the comic book medium, but i dont get to play with colors as I mostly draw (pen and ink). I truly am facinated by things like Madballs, Garbage Pail Kids, Toxic Avenger, Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes and things not too distant from that type of tongue in cheek stuff.
I actually intend to produce these designs as actual toys. Since its not that difficult to make, i figured it would be a mega fun project to get into. I will be casting them out of foam rubber as well. =] ...some day. Im much too busy now to even start shopping for stuff.

ROOKIE I don't have the same appreciation of abominations as you but hot damn those are some professional-looking creations. You're undoubtedly making a living with this impressive stuff, right?
As a child I owned a plastic Frankenstein's monster head much like the above but not as gruesome. It also squirted water from a tiny opening in its forehead.

Hi everyone. =)
Heres my entry piece for the creating Madball contest.

Unfortunately, i dont exactly have the sketch part saved anywhere as I mostly worked on one layer with my wacom tablet.
(i use the Intuos 1 older model but it works just fine for my needs)
But I did save a few drafts so i could look over them and plan out the finishes.

Heres I level down the details...

Here's the final render. Took me an approximate total of 7 hours playing around with it. Still new to the wacom thing. Hope you like it.
