Legality of site games

Umm, I don't have a clue and would like to be reassured- are the game downloads on this site (NES games, DOS Elm Street, etc.) fully legal? It's not that i suspect anyone of anything intentional, I'm just concerned bc I don't want to end up in jail or something. Sorry.
