I AM A MURDERER

AChimp I heard somewhere when I was little that a wasp can only use its stinger about five times before it dies. Regardless, we get invaded by flies and wasps at the grocery store I work at, especially now that it's nearing autumn. They're attracted to our garbage bins and smelly customers, and when the door opens about a dozen new beasts come flying in.

Fortunately, I have Weapon Specialization (fly swatter) with Improved Critical and get a +7 bonus to attack and damage. I've only had to use my Uncanny Dodge ability once when I rolled a critical miss.

I had an allergic reaction from a wasp sting on my ankle so bad that I had to get a splint put on so the poison wouldn't spread anymore. The doc also gave me some kind of antihistamine and told me not to get too much exercise to get the blood pumpin'. What I further hate is that wasps are very aggressive and can sting you repeatedly and NOT die as they have no barbs on their stingers. At least with bees, I get the satifaction that they've ripped off an appendage in an effort to do me harm and will fly off and expire somewhere while I smile in the knowledge of their slow death

Krythor My back garden is half grass and half a stepping-stones-closely-packed-together thing. Almost every fucking Summer we get a hornet's nest between the cracks.

Not to mention the one Summer where a Queen Bee was attracted by a nearby scent, landed in one of our conifer bushes and attracted an entire fucking army of them. We had to call the Bee-man to get them removed.

sadie until my dad came over and gassed it last week, there was a humongous hornet's nest on the roof of my front porch.

FS I haven't been stung by a wasp since I was like... 9, or something, but I think it was quite painful. But maybe I exaggerated it in my memory.

The last time I remember, I got stung in the tip of my right index finger while at school in the morning, and I had to walk around with it all day, sucking the poison out (or rather, trying to). The teachers didn't have anything to help me with. How traumatic. Hm. Maybe that explains my thinking wasp stings hurt so much.

Poxpower When I mow the lawn, there are bumblebees everywhere. So I mow them. Yep.
Those big bastards hurt when they fly in your face when you're biking.

Comrade Rocket I was attaked by a bunch of wasps once.

One dug so deep into my hair that i didn't find it till the next day when i took a shower. it died in my hair.

And before that i really didn't mind bugs, but know i got a phobia of being covered in a colony of anything.

ScruU2wice once i was just sittin at my table eating when a Fly the size of a half dollar landed like right on my food... i have no paticular aversion to bugs but that scared the hell outta me...

soundtest Once I saw this gigantic beetle(?) about the size of my hand... it looked so sinister. I still have nightmares about it. Spiders don't bother me at all. Anything that is BIG with antennae though...

edit: deja vu... i know i posted this before... chatter emoticon and all

Krythor I hate it when you have three fucking mosquito's in your bedroom before you go to sleep. You can't go to sleep with them in your room, naturally, but you can't seem to catch the bastards either. So then you're up another hour trying every trick in the book to either get them to leave or catch/kill them, but they're sly little unstoppable bastards.

whoreable I used this one wasp killer that would kill them in midair. it was sweet they would just be flying then fall to the ground and die

MrAdventure i spent last week beating the crap out of a shtiload of wasp nests with a goddamn five foot pole. but i came closer to being stung when i switched to a twenty foot chemical spray

OperationScuzBucket I'm allergic to bees, but that's not why I'm afraid of them...

When I was 7 I stepped on a yellow-jacket nest. I ran home and got stung on the way hundreds of times in pretty much every place on me. It looked like I had chicken pox for a while...and I still have a scar on my eyelid from it.

To this day when I hear or see a flying/buzzing insect, I go nuts.
Aug 20th, 2003 09:16 PM
James I'm not insanely afraid of bees. I just fucking hate insects, and I don't want to get stung. I'm MILDLY afraid.

Thankfully, there have been no bees invading my room all summer. :knockonwood

O71394658 Last summer there was a bumblebee's nest outside my house, and I never left my house, because they looked like huge black, furry balls flying around. Scary.

Aug 20th, 2003 08:25 PM
whoreable I need to get the balls to start eating bugs so i can live on my survival trip
Aug 20th, 2003 08:24 PM
jin I FUCKING HATE INSECTS.
Aug 20th, 2003 08:00 PM
Ninjavenom Stings and bites are just mildly inconvenient. However, arachnophobia is something that i can't just easily blow off. I am to spiders as james is to bees.
Aug 20th, 2003 07:36 PM
slavemason I have bad luck with the stingy bugs. I had a yellow jack fly down the back of my shirt while driving. The little bastard bit me on the back. And since they bite, don't sting as such, he proceded to fall down my pants and bite me on the ass.
