90's Child Well, I've always said that some bad movies with good concepts should be remade, like Teen Wolf (Which, even though it was a decent comedy, had shite werewolf effects) and Terror Toons (Which, as probably one of the worst films ever made, would be completely overhauled leaving only the base concept).

Akktri I thought Troll was awesome. Troll 2 is proof that it should not be kid friendly. There's nothing cooler than having a midget stab a sleazy swinger dude with a ring and make a forest explode out of his chest.

ZeldaQueen There are a ton of movies that should be getting remakes/movies (Marvel comics, old tv series, etc). Rosemary's Baby is one of them and looks like it's actually moving forward.

Angryhydralisk I also heard The People Under the Stairs is supposed to be re-made by Wes Craven.

But we all know the best re-make is SCARFACE.

J. Tithonus Pednaud Troll was 'officially' announced over two years ago and has yet to see any movement. If it hasn't materialized by now, it's not going to happen. No one involved has enough clout to get one of the '50 worst movies ever made', remade.

Dixie No way.

ZeldaQueen I think the movie Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is also getting a remake.

Apparently Guillermo del Toro, well known for his freaky-as-heck monsters, is directing.

It's going to get redone by the original director John Carl Buechler. As far as I have read there hasn't been any script revisions, matter of fact he wants the original cast along with the original special effects artists; the artists have actually done quite well after Troll, bringing in awards and what not nowadays. The only downside is that Buechler wants to make it more of a family film. Hope it turns out to be as good as he's hoping it to be.
