theapportioner Truth be told, the rallies in the United States won't do a shit to change the mind of the Bush politburo; inside word confirms that war with Iraq was inevitable many moons ago. It might, however, hurt the reputations of certain lawmakers who would like to get reelected.

As some article mentioned (I believe credit goes to the United for Peace and Justice website, but I could be wrong), the real battle is in Britain, where Tony Blair could be in serious trouble when the war starts. I hear that the English protest organizers plan to paralyze London.

The Bush gang would probably have the gall to continue the war even without England, but this would be rather distasteful to most Americans.

Keep the momentum going, everybody.

Abcdxxxx I understand the whole protesting, and disention from the Government thing, but can someone explain to me why it's okay to march in planned solidarity with a Saddam sanctioned march in Iraq ???? I don't think you're automatically supporting Saddam when you take an anti-war stance.... but yesterday was a close call.

CastroMotorOil How about we get all the protesters together and send them to Iraq and let them talk to Saddam for us, since he will listen to them as they adore him so much. Oh wait he'd just gas them. Oh well no big loss.
