VinceZeb I think it sucks that anyone has to die before the natural death of old age, but it does happen. But, if I had to chose between the life of someone i know between someone I dont, id probably choose someone I know. Thats just the way people work. It may suck, but its fact.

Protoclown Sure nationality is nice for cultural identity and all that, but in terms of weighing the VALUE OF HUMAN LIFE (which happens to be what we're talking about if you've not noticed, and coincidentally, the context my statement is supposed to be taken in) I don't see how you can assign any one higher than another.

To ME it is unfortunate to see EITHER person in that scenario die. Do I want our troops to win? Sure I do. Now that we're in there, I'd prefer we take care of business QUICKLY and get out, with as few casulties on both sides as humanly possible. But I still mourn for ALL the lost lives, whether they are friend or foe.

VinceZeb Protoclown never said he would rather see one die than another.

But I would have to disagree with nationality not meaning anything. Countries and people are built on borders, language, and culture.

Did I say that? No. I NEVER said I would RATHER see an American soldier die. I merely asked what the difference is. Because you know, to me? An American soldier is a person. And an Iraqi citizen is a person. And when a PERSON is killed, I find that a sad thing. I guess that makes me inhuman. I'm a real fucking monster for thinking that we're all the same, and that nationality isn't really AT ALL IMPORTANT.

I don't know why I'm even bothering to reply, it's clear that you can't even comprehend a simple post anyway.

sspadowsky HNIC, are you fucking blind? He just fucking said he'd RATHER NOT SEE EITHER ONE DIE, BECAUSE HE SEES THEM BOTH AS HUMAN.

Anonymous Jesus Protoclown, you really would rather see an American soldier die than an Iraqi citizen? In my book, that, by definition is a piece of shit.
Mar 21st, 2003 12:49 PM
VinceZeb Hmmm, what is the difference?

Well, for starters, I am a citizen of the United States of America, so naturally, I would care a lot more about a citizen of my country dying than one of another. That IS human, to care more about something that is closer to you than something that isnt. I hope all our troops come back home. Some wont. I hope all the innocent civilians of Iraq will be able to taste freedom. Some wont.

There are people in Iraq that would rather see U.S. soilders die than Iraq soilders. That isnt inhuman, that is human nature.

Flawed creatures cant build or create a real utopia. Understand that and maybe you will get what the world is about and how it runs.

You're inhuman. What in the hell is the DIFFERENCE? Seriously. I'm asking you what the difference is between an Iraqi citizen dying and a US trooper dying. Because you know, I don't see one. If that makes me a piece of dog shit, then let me call you the maggot writhing around contentedly in it.

Ass

I have to agree, these are the types of people that make anything they stand for look bad. I live in the Bay Area...these people do nothing more than piss off the people around them. Their point most often lost and they don't even realize it.

Both sides have them, and both sides hate them. Though they love to point out the ones on the opposing front.

Of course you don't.

The rest of the world thinks you're a bunch of stoner hippy liberal fuckheads and the very fact that you've no desire to change this image is exactly why you haven't even made a dent in current world politics
Mar 21st, 2003 10:19 AM
VinceZeb Ok, then we will just allow your "group" to keep talking. In fact, anyone who supports the troops and the war just has to sit back and let the anti-war people talk. Your mouthpieces will be your undoing.

FS Johnny, I have no interest in what a generalizing twit like yourself thinks of "my group".

VinceZeb Actually, polls are showing now that 74% of Americans are behind the war. The recent gallop poll showed this. And the vast majority of the rest of world couldn't do in 2,000 years what we did in 200 so if Angolia doesnt like us, well... *YAWN* And I also find it funny that most of the other countries that are giving us shit are either a) dependant on us for their existance or b) countries of who's ass we kicked in the past.

Even as needle dicked as Proto is, he has a valid point. You can be against this war. A lot are. But to say that you would rather see an Iraqi citizen live than a U.S. trooper, then you are a piece of dog shit. But these are the leaders and the vast majority of this movement. Ask them tough questions. They stutter and dodge, not because they suck at speaking, (which a guy like Bush does, except when its something he is passionate about) because THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT! Not all protestors, but most of them truly dont. Id love to get that moron to go say that to the family of the Marine that was killed yesterday. I'm sure they would have him whoring himself in a Japanese schoolgirl outfit on the streets of San Fran in a hurry.

Sorry, I said what the guy said. I wish I could give you the audio recording or transcript, but I HIGHLY doubt I can get it. If I can get it, I will.

I think he means... this person is representing you, speaking for the whole of the anti-war movement (whether he has the actual right to or not). And he's made a bumbing fuck up of it. It doesn't do much for the popularity of you hippies. :/

It's the same with America... most of the world thinks America sucks hairy ass because of what they're doing in Iraq. It doesn't matter that fifty percent of you are against the war. Bush is your representative and if he looks bad then you look bad.

Do you get it, snugglebunny?

Protoclown I just don't want people to die. Period. Whether they be US soldiers OR Iraqis.

And I may be anti-war, but I also support our troops. I have several friends in the military, and a few of them are over there now. I hope and pray for their safe return. I don't hold this against the soldiers, because they are just pawns in this twisted game. It's the government my disapproval is aimed at.

Anyway, I'd be interested in reading the actual statement from the guy, cause I have a feeling it's a lot more nuanced than the way you're putting it down right now.

The head of the San Francisco anti-war protests....

This guy, Ying Sun or whatever he his name was, was on a local show here in St. Louis. He gave his reasons for screwing with average peoples' days (and of course, when asked a hard question, he stuttered and avoided it, sorta like the prez does on certain questions, but I digress...) and he was asked about the troops. After many times to dig himself out of the hole he shoveled, the guy finally came out and admitted that he cares more for Iraqi civilians than US soliders, who are in essence citizens of the United States of America.

For all the people that support the anti-war movement: This is one of your self-proclaimed "leaders." I hope the rest of you have sound arguments and are not just brainwashed pawns of old commie professors.
