sspadowsky If you try the stuff that Les Stroud demonstrates, you have a chance to survive. If you try anything that Bear Grylls demonstrates, you are guaranteed do die- probably in painful and/or embarrassing fashion.

BurntToShreds I remember Les Stroud saying that he doesn't like killing animals for food (because of the ecosystem or something I think), and he goes out of his way to set up cameras across the river from him, and then goes back to get them again, just for our entertainment. He's also displayed a hint of the MacGuyver gene; I saw an episode once where he tied a tent together using film from a cassette.

Dimnos Les Stroud could break his leg, make a splint out of a dead animal he ate for dinner and still kick Bear Grylls ass when he came out of his hotel... er I mean "cave".

Tadao I think I get the best info from Les Stroud because his plans never really go the way he wants them to, so you learn how to fix things when it fucks up. Also, if things are going too smooth, he'll move to try to make survival harder so that we can learn a thing or two.

DevilWearsPrada Man vs Wild's guy does pointless things and is overdramatic, plus there's plenty of evidence of him ditching out and staying at hotels when he's supposed to be hiding in a cave talking about his energy levels or some shit lowering drastically unless he eats something that'll make him dry heave every 5 mins.

Suvivorman takes some cameras and initial starting gear and survives on his own for a week.

Tadao I'm a huge fan of survival shows. I could care less about how realistic it is or what not. I just want to absorb the info. Now if the info was misleading then that would suck.

Survivorman or Man Vs. Wild?

I've been watching both lately.

It's like the comedy writes itself.
