ItalianStereotype too bad you can't just lose your hands in the same way.

ArrowX Durable controllers. I threw my NES controller alot andit still works....too ba I lost my NES
Jul 11th, 2004 12:55 PM
ItalianStereotype unfortunately, none of the X games made it to this compilation. I wish they could've had Mega Man Soccer on here as well.

playing this makes me realize that, as a child, I had the patience of a fucking saint. or just really durable controllers.
Jul 11th, 2004 12:33 PM
ziggytrix you can't customize the controls? that sucks. the megaman X games (for playstation) all had customizable controls.
Jul 10th, 2004 04:49 PM
Drev it make minutes to get used to it. QUIT WHINING.
Jul 10th, 2004 03:28 PM
huond i tried to play this on GC yesterday and f*ck this thing. B should be shoot and A should be jump god damn it
Jun 25th, 2004 05:41 PM
ziggytrix if they are gonna re-release 8-bit games, this is the way to do it, 8+ on one cart or disc. not 1 for 1 like those stupid classic nes games for the GBA.
Jun 24th, 2004 06:15 PM
Drev I also forgot how horrible the dubbing for the anime sequences were from Mega Man 8.

WHY DOES DR. LIGHT SOUND LIKE FUCKING ELMER FUDD?
Jun 24th, 2004 06:14 PM
Drev I bought it.

They edidn't add the sliding or charging in either of the games which didn't have them, but one thing they did is set the y button as autofire. :/

Navi mode is for idiots who can't figure out things on their own.

Plus you only get Mega Man 1-8 first, and you must beat them to unlock the 2 arcades games, pixtures, remixed music, etc.

camacazio Does not matter, they are all the same.

And they were good too for awhile. Not anymore though.

Ok, so I was playing some Sonic 3 today but I got tired of it so I started playing mega man 3 and I thought to myself "it's a darn shame I'm playing this on my NES"

I'm definately getting that mega man collection. I haven't seen a game out even worth half it's cost in many months until this one.

Supafly345 We talking the two, or three dimension games?
Jun 20th, 2004 01:16 AM
James I'm sorry, that was mean. $30, and I'll sell them to you one every 3 years.

To be fair, getting that many MM games is pretty good, so I realy shouldn't complain about this particular case. And, come on. It's not like Capcom has a habit of rereleasing the same games over and over with slight changes or no changes at all, right? Right?

EverythingWillSuck This sounds pretty cool, hopefully it turns out better than the GCSonic Collection did

James I meant the button setup, you increasingly idiotic retard.

Then use the Hori controller.

James I have the first Mega Man game for MAME, but I could never get a good copy of the sequel. Some interesting concepts, and some nice 16-bit renders of the enemy robots, but it didn't play all that great.

Again, I don't see the point of these remake deals, especially when nothing's been added. And to be honest, I can't see the GC controller working all that well for the MM games.

Besides, MM & Bass is the best MM game ever.
Jun 19th, 2004 12:25 PM
Drev we tried to play them on MAME 32K, but for some reaosn it wouldn't.
Jun 18th, 2004 10:27 PM
Schimid Nah, they're two-player. We have one at an Ultracade here loaded with Capcom and Atari and Taito games.

Me and my friends play a back-to-back set of Mega Man and Bubble Bobble.

I could of sworn the Arcade games were 1-player and that you can only play as megaman, protoman, and Bass.

If I am wrong, cool.

Nerd From my understanding, there are two modes: Navi and normal. In Navi mode you get remixed music ( 4-6, I think), new weapons meter that tells you many shots you have left with your current weapon, and you can go through all the master weapons using L and R. Also, Beat pops up and points out usually obvious routes. Protoman contacts you and tells you hints and tips for the current stage your on. And yes, the slowdown affects are gone. You also get a new and better menu. I think the graphics may have been touched up a bit too. Same deal as Complete Works if any of you played that.

In normal, everythings the same. The slowdown, the weapons meter, etc. You can't even select your master weapons with L and R, you need to go into the menu and select them, just like the old games.

But I'm pretty sure that in either mode the select trick no longer works in MM1, which means a much harder Yellow Devil. Or that may only be in Navi mode, I forgot. I read all of this in a IGN article.

pjalne That would be the ultimate solution. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the classic style, but it would be cool to see it with new graphics.
