Smon Most original games I've ever played... Elite Beat Agents and Caution:Seaman are up in the top for me. In fact, Seaman is probably my favorite game ever.

Jeff The Ninja Double Dragon, it was the first game that allowed you to beat whores with baseball bats.

executioneer ultima underworld
Mar 27th, 2007 06:29 PM
irish Yeah, hehe
The first one is roughly based on Guards Guards with loads of other little minor storylines
The second is based on Reaper man with storylines from Moving Pictures and The last Continent thrown in.
(play as Rincewind in both those)

And the third is Discworld Noir, completely new storyline and character.

Hope you enjoyed that :D

making a mental note to check out Teen Agent

arg_zombies Discworld game? Ha, I have loads of those books
Mar 27th, 2007 04:26 PM
Zomboid Speaking of which, I just downloaded a point and click game called Teen Agent that's pretty fun. Ya need dosbox or something but it's really fun.
Mar 27th, 2007 04:05 PM
irish Hmm I was going for the most out there games but yeah :D
I would say just point and click adventure games in general, like Monkey Island, Simon the Sorcerer and the Discworld game, were good, ey?

Girl Drink Drunk Mortal Kombat because it paved the way for more games with god-awful digitized graphics.

Chojin Cyborg Justice for Genesis. It was a sidescrolling beat-em-up, but you were a robot and could rip off parts of your enemies and replace your own parts with theirs.

arg_zombies ha pacman is amazing - i have a little, portable solar powered pacman game for journeys XD

Divisible by Waffle Okami is so original; while there are some similarities to Zelda (same kind of atmosphere, lots of puzzle solving), it stands alone in the "sun gods that use calligraphy to save Japan from certain doom" genre.

Katamari Damacy is another really original title. I mean, you play as the little green Prince, and you roll a ball into junk that magically sticks to it so. And not just junk; PEOPLE. Rolling up people is probably the most fun thing in that game. It's kind of sick, but in a very satisfying way.

Mario Bros. is original, for its time. Who would have thought to make a game about plumbers fighting off crabs and turtles in sewer pipes? I mean, seriously? It's pretty obvious to make games about spaceships and racing cars. Pac-Man and Tetris also fall into the originality category for this reason.

arg_zombies Ha, last time I plyed Abe's odyssey was like 4 years back
Mar 26th, 2007 03:37 PM
irish I thought we love Katamari was fairly original (we didn't get katamari damacy here argh!)

Also, Abe's odyssesy? we rediscovered a demo (10 year old demo disc woo!) for that lately and it was brilliant!

Schimid Yeah, Sacks, I've played it when I was a kid but I completely forgot about that part of it and yeah, you're right, that was pretty badass.

And I realized later that even if you DID mean just like, any RTS, that would've been pretty much one of the first which is original in itself.

Well-played
.
