Getting Into Digital Comics with Kindle Fire

I'm about to get into reading comics (partly because I have a strong interest in possibly drawing my own in the future). I've been talking with my parents about getting a Kindle Fire (a larger model) for my birthday mainly for downloading digital comics.

So far, I have these digital comics downloaded to my Comixology application.

Batman #13-17 (Death of the Family arc)
Superman #1

I have these in my Comixology wishlist.

Kamen Rider volume 1
Sam and Max: Surfin' the Highway
Infinity Gauntlet

Here are some I plan on downloading for the Viz Media app.

Sunny, volume 1
Children of the Sea, volume 1
Death Note, volume 1

These are comics that might be interested in downloading directly from Amazon at some later point.

Batman, volume 1 (Court of Owls)
Batman, volume 2 (City of Owls)
Saga of the Swamp Thing, volume 1
Astro Boy 1 and 2 (listed as one item)

I also plan on getting Sketchbook (I'm not entirely sure which version is compatible with Kindle Fire) so I can get into entirely-digital sketching.

Are there any other recommendations that you people have as far as comics? Are there any extra Kindle Fire apps that you would recommend as well? Thank you for taking the time to look at this.
