Stephanoplolus says it goes all the way to Bush and Chenney, but even if it does, Rove will eat it. This is small chikckens, just outing a CIA agent and lieing about it, presumably under oath. That's nothing like spoogiong on a dress and lying about it under oath. Still, it would make me sleep soundly to think that Delay, Rove and Frist (abd judging by todays news, Delays repalcement Blunt as well) could all be undr indictement at the same time. With all that ruckus a going on, who the hell has time to tell George when to stop riding his bike? |

Rove will testify before Grand Jury, WITHOUT IMMUNITY No Immunity: Rove to Testify Again The Associated Press Thursday 06 October 2005 Washington - Federal prosecutors have accepted an offer from presidential adviser Karl Rove to give 11th-hour testimony in the case of a CIA officer's leaked identity and have warned they cannot guarantee he won't be indicted, according to people directly familiar with the investigation. The people, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of grand jury secrecy, said Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald has not made any decision yet on whether to file criminal charges against the longtime confidant of President Bush or anyone else. The US attorney's manual requires that prosecutors not bring witnesses before a grand jury if there is a possibility of future criminal charges unless the witnesses are notified in advance that their testimony can be used against them in a later indictment. Rove has already made at least three grand jury appearances and his return at this late stage in the investigation is unusual. The prosecutor did not give Rove similar warnings before his earlier grand jury appearances. |
