robo_rob When I do shave, I always cut the crap outta myself no matter what kind of razor. Probably why I stopped shaving my head, those little cuts suck.

Yes I've said this before. I'm saying it again as you all obviously didn't get the message.
Razor bumps are usually caused by curly beard hair becoming sharp when shaved, then curling back inward after being clipped and piercing the skin again. The baby oil idea isn't bad, though it doesn't seem like it'd do anything that leaving shaving cream on the face for extra time wouldn't do. Aside from that, you aren't really addressing the problem, just an imaginary one that no one is having.

stevetothepast I got shaving oil once, as a shaving cream alternative, I wouldn't recommend it.

Fathom Zero I stopped using shaving cream and now I don't cut myself at all and it's shorter. How the fuck does that work?

Guitar Woman Yeah, the reason I don't like getting my razors wet is because they get all slimy from that shit they put on it.

If I could just grow a beard I would :<

Kitsa I tried one of those new venus razors that has the big chunk of solid shave gel around it. It was a nightmare.

Not only did it have this unpleasant "drool" effect as soon as it got wet, but it also made the razor way too cumbersome. I cut myself to pieces.

It was a nice idea, but didn't work for me at all.

Guitar Woman Where do you buy this shit?

I grow more MAN HAIR than I used to and I'm also having problems with razor bumps.

Probably because I'm using cheap-ass razors with no conditioner strips, but w/e

DougClayton4231 I started using mens razors again and it's like night and day. Women's razors are so much better than men's razors that it makes me upset. Why use shaving cream when you can use soap and water?
Sep 18th, 2009 02:44 PM
Otto I use shaving soap and a double edged razor.
