Emu Try some on pizza. It's pretty good.

KevinTheOmnivore After the first time, no. But I just recently ate a lot of tuna, and it did give me a nasty stomach ache.....

I will probably eat some turkey. I won't make a habit of that however, and if I eat meat habitually, it'll be primarily fish.

uhhh, yup.
I'm just wondering if you got sick and how long you've been a veg. :/

MEATMAN Point taken, AChimp.
Dec 31st, 2003 05:22 PM
AChimp So you're a 13-year-old in an 18-year-old's body. You're especially immature if you have to defend yourself by saying, "Well I'm X years old!"
Dec 31st, 2003 05:01 PM
MEATMAN That would be really funny, except for the fact that I'm turning 18 in two months,
Dec 31st, 2003 04:07 PM
Pub Lover Vegans taste like crap, they're all skinny, & pointless... but then so are the meataterians I've seen... You should stick to eating cancer victims mister "I'm 13 & out to shock".

Edit: Point of clarity - I have a rather tired habit of refering to everyone on here as a pathetic 13 year old. This is not back-peddaling, as I'm sure it's more of a reflection on your intelligence, articulation, & maturity...

MEATMAN That's one of my jobs, I think.
Dec 30th, 2003 11:22 PM
AChimp Well, aren't you the shocker.
Dec 30th, 2003 11:14 PM
MEATMAN It is my job to ensure that all vegans know that they are on the menu...or at least, MY menu...

At the current time, I don't think it would be feasible to privatize the highways. That said, I don't like the government because I think that private organizations can do the job better.

Oh yeah, I actually don't want to get rid of the FDA. I just want to turn it into a fraud protection agency that has the power to set-up a few preventative measures for the public health (banning foreign meat, for example).

Thank you. Let's lock the thread while we're on a rational roll.....

AChimp There is such an insignificant amount of bread, that the carbohydrates they add to the chicken are negligible.

P.S. You are a wiener.

That too, but the bread does add carbs.

I wasn't talking about forced exercise programs. Most Asian countries don't have as much access to cars, etc. for transportation.

Besides, if we are talking about Asian countries overall, it is reasonable to say that they do exercise more even if we are only talking about mandated programs.

2. I agree on the limited access to junk food, but just because they have limited access to processed, traded junk doesn't mean they don't have and eat their own junk.
I doubt it is as bad for you, and it probably takes more effort to attain.

3. Atkin's Diet. Right. Like the KFC "eat all chicken it's good for you" campaign that was pulled b/c it was retarded...? The Atkins diet is HIGHLY questionable, as is a strictly vegan diet......

On the KFC diet, the reason it was retarded was due to the breading on chicken.

The best diet you could have would probably be rich in fish with some beef and vegetables, and perhaps a few dairies...

I have a feeling it is more about that, combined with limited access to junk food, that makes them live longer. After all, the Atkins diet was roughly determined to be accurate.
Geez, for a guy who calls himself "policy oriented," you just made quitea few ignorantly broad strokes.

Good Lord, everybody who is addicted to meat like heroin has that "one vegan friend" story, and rather than figuring out why that particular vegan was unhealthy and unhappy, they just assume that that's every vegan (btw, it's most certainly not).

Imagine it from the flipped perspective. I live in a town of vegans, and we meet a fat ass who eats fried foods and McDonalds hamburgers every day. He's unhealthy, can't walk a block without getting winded, and has REALLY high cholersterol. Should I thus assume that this one irresponsible person is reflective of ALL meat eaters....?

Zhukov I thought only Japan had to exercise. Fatty.

Dec 25th, 2003 08:41 PM
KevinTheOmnivore I'm a geek for knowing this, but yes, I was a lacto-ovo-vegetarian. I was never a hardcore vegan by any means, but I was however a fairly devout lacto-ovo for almost five years.

The vegetarians who eat fish are called pesca-vegetarians, yes.
Dec 25th, 2003 08:38 PM
Emu Some vegetarians do eat fish and eggs and don't consider it meat. They're lacto-ovo vegetarians or something like that. I forget the exact name.
