Hobo Renee | As a vegetarian (yeah, okay, get over it) this low-carb thing sucks so much for me whenever I got out to eat. Everything is now just meat and some nutritionless piece of crap vegetable like brocolli. Fuck you Atkins! I just want to eat bread and sugar all day long. You can't stop me! | |

I work at a buffet resturant, and I was workign the salad one night, and I heard these 2 stupid girls babbling about carbs: Girl 1: Oh this looks good! Girl 2: Don't eat that! It has carbs! Carbs are bad! We can't eat carbs! I don't care if some people take the Atkins diet, but I feel that the diet if an ADULT diet, and not for stupid kids who think they can't eat carbs. |

I enjoy my irrational hatred of the Atkins diet. It works a lot better for me than an irrational hatred of people with different skin color. edit: also, the cardboard cutouts of some shmuck holding a sign saying "EAT MORE PORK" and a bag of pork rinds that they had all over Wal-Mart corporate HQ irritated me to no end. of course, temping there had me pretty irritated to begin with. |

I've been losing a pound a day on Atkins since the beginning of the month. Another six weeks of this and I'll be back at my normal weight. Crazy pills made me fat. :O And to fuck with anyone who thinks that it's just trendy. So's breathing, you schlampes. |

As long as you get enough excercise, you can maintain your weight and eat more calories than usual. Carbs are energy, when you burn them your body immediantly will start burning more calories and you'll lose some fat. Eating to replenish the carbs wont add any extra weight other than muscle. Diets are bullshit because no matter how intense and commited you are, once you've lost you're target weight you'll go back into bad habits.
