mburbank Yeah, cause if you don't, you end up with a kid. Didn't I learn that the hard way. I couldn't get my diaphraghm to work at all.

Pub Lover I agree that Max's pieces sound great, but his run on sentences are hard to get out in a single breath.

mburbank Thanks, Sadie. And yeah, the way a piece sounds is really important to me. My backgroud is the Thee-ya-tah, don't you know. Really seedy small theaters in bad parts of town where if you want to see the whole show you need a bag of quaters, but thee-ya-tah nonetheless.

sadie i love reading your work out loud, max. you're a master of verbal flow and vivid details. kevin was like, "who wrote that?! it was fucking awesome." and it is.

GREETINGS TO THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD FROM ME, SANTA CLAUS!! HO HO HO!

I'm canceling Christmas.
I found this was the best part.

mburbank I GOTTA HAVE MY DAMN BY-LINE! OTHERWISE IT DON'T COME UP ON GOOGLE!

Mike P The letter was quite good. I liked how Santa started off as kind of sane, but just sort of spiraled down into the crazy old hobo at the corner. My only complaint is that the by-line should have read "By Santa Claus", so it could be shown to gullible children to break their hearts. Of course, if they're gullible enough, I can just tell them that Max Burbank is Santa Claus' spokeman or something.
