ranxer crap, there's big trouble in the 51st state!

i heard one broadcast say that the shooting started from from building tops.

we may never know the truth, but of course our forces Couldnt have done anything wrong! bah.

yea, war is hell, its got to be very confusing for our soldiers.. all the atrocities and accidental deaths are gwb's (and financiers) fault damn it..

i enjoyed hearing the King(i think he's a king) of Syria say gwb has made war on iraq to payback his contributors with contracts for rebuilding and oil control or somesuch.. lol, the middle easterners know the truth more than the average american!

did yall hear about the 'convoy of death' in afghanistan?
http://tv.oneworld.net/tapestry?story=584&window=full

i just saw a movie on it, oops, we'll try to make that story go away.. and sure it will go away for americans but not the afghanis and sure maybe the school massacre was an american 'error' but it won't be so for the iraqi's!

oh and i enjoyed the newsweek article on the convoy.. nice denial of american involvement

Miss Modular Hello, like Iraq is sooooooo over with. These shootings aren't nearly as important as Scott Peterson. Like, our whole lives depend on Scott Peterson's arraignment.

sspadowsky Hmmm... this is disappointing. On CNN, the headline I saw was "Iraqi School Shooting." I didn't know this was what they meant. I just thought that, along with democracy, other elements of our culture had gained a foothold in Iraq. And here I was about to get all proud and shit.

Just like old times in Iraq?

Granted, it's a "he said, she said" scenario, but you can't help but appreciate the irony.

Story from BBC NEWS:

Iraqis killed in protest

Thirteen Iraqis were reportedly killed when US forces opened fire on demonstrators.

There are conflicting reports as to what happened on Monday night in the town, which lies 50 kilometres (35 miles) west of Baghdad.

A US spokesman said soldiers started shooting after people in the crowd fired on them - but Iraqi witnesses said the protesters were unarmed.

American forces are reported to have entered Falluja for the first time two days ago.

A local Sunni cleric, Kamal Shaker Mahmoud, said the demonstrators were unarmed and had gone to a local school occupied by US forces to ask them to leave, Reuters news agency reports.
"It was a peaceful demonstration. They did not have any weapons. They were asking the Americans to leave the school so they could use it," the cleric is quoted as saying.

Saddam's birthday

Witnesses quoted by the French news agency, AFP, said the demonstrators had been marking Saddam Hussein's birthday when the Americans opened fire.

The report said protesters were carrying portraits of their ousted leader and Iraqi flags when they approached a school manned by US troops.

US Colonel Arnold Bray said American forces had come under fire from the protesters.

According to local residents, several children were among the dead.

A Reuters correspondent in the town said mourners chanted "Our soul and our blood we will sacrifice to you martyrs" as burials got under way.
