We are certain that by January most of the Iraqi people will be able to vote," -Alawi Here Alawi uses the phrase "I am certain" in much the same way W has used the phrase "There is no doubt". Not to actually express certainty, but a more colloquial "I am so fucked if I'm wrong" or possibly "I have no clue what I'm talking about, and not just right now either." |
