timrpgland I missed this thread dammit.

NES: Kid Niki was the first game that was considered mine
GB: Tetris
SNES: Super Mario World was the launch title so that was our first game and we purchased some others as a family. Shared console. Saved up for FFII and purchased that solely not long after. First real memorable SNES purchase. Nice $70... took forever.
N64: Super Mario 64 and that football one at launch.
PS: This one I can't really remember. I know I got a PS several months before FFVII came out (was the reason for even getting one)but I'm not sure what game I purchased first for it. Wild Arms one of the early purchase. SOTN was just after 7... yeah, not sure.
PS2: GTA3
PS3: GTA4
PC: This one is also drawing a blank as to the first purchase. We already owned some of the classics which I didn't buy. I think one of the fondest early solo purchases would have been Ultima 7
GBA: Tactics Ogre
DS: No clue atm, I think it was the Mario 64 remake
GENESIS: Pat Riley's basketball, sonic the hedgehog and Joe Montana's football.
Wii: Metal Slug Anthology
Neo Geo Pocket: Neo Turf Masters
Sega Gamegear: Zool
Sega Dreamcast: NFL2K, Sonic, that boat racing game.
Gamecube: Eternal Darkness
XBOX: Not sure off-hand.
360: I'm not sure here either right now. Like the XBOX I didn't buy a 360 til a year or so in so it doesn't really ring memorable... Didn't really buy either for one specific game.

I know I'm forgetting some stuff but I'm tired, just wanted to join in on this one.

Dimnos Thats on the Jaguar CD which I didnt even knew existed at the time I had a Jaguar. Prime example of the shitty ass marketing Atari did for the system.

Took me a while to get used to but I believe in some ways its actually better than the Arcade NES version.

I heard that it was based more off the original comic book than the cartoon show.

Mad Melvin C64: I don't think I bought a single game for this system. I got my C64 as a christmas present and with it came a plastic bag full of illegally copied games.

NES: Solstice or Back To The Future 2 & 3. Not quite sure which one I had first. Both games are kinda shitty, but I got them 'cause they had cool covers. I sure did learn my lesson.

SNES: Zombies Ate My Neighbours. Money well spent.

Playstation: Metal Gear Solid.

Playstation 2: Medal Of Honor Frontline

Gamecube: Resident Evil 4

Nintendo Wii: Mortal Kombat Armageddon

Mockery Intellivision - I believe mine came with Astrosmash and Blackjack & Poker, but the first game I went out and bought was Night Stalker.

NES - I got the Deluxe NES set when it first came out, so mine came with Gyromite and Duck Hunt, the next game I purchased was Target: Renegade.

PC - I think I purchased King's Quest or Police Quest first, followed by A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Gameboy - Tetris followed by Super Mario Land (I think).

Sega Genesis - Came with Altered Beast and then I quickly purchased Revenge of Shinobi and Golden Axe (can't remember which one I bought first though).

Atari Lynx - Todd's Adventures In Slime World and Ninja Gaiden.

Panasonic 3DO - Hard to recall, but I think it may have been Gex or Captain Quazar.

SNES - Super Mario Kart.

Playstation - I bought Loaded immediately when I got this system. Had played it with a friend and loved it.

Gamecube - Mario Kart: Double Dash and Ikaruga.

Nintendo DS - An R4 cart. :P

Nintendo Wii - Metal Slug Anthology.

Neo Geo (modded console for modern TV support) - Nightmare In The Dark.

Playstation 3 - This was given to me on my birthday with several games, but the first one I played (and the one I wanted most) was Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

I think that pretty much covers it, but I could be forgetting something.

Dreamcast: Soul Calibur

Zhukov MEGADRIVE: it came with Alex Kidd and Altered Beast, and I sent away with a coupon to get Sonic 1.

Gameboy: I won my Gameboy when Star Wars ep IV was re-released and as such it came with Star Wars. Later that day I remember ringing up Nintendo tech support complaining that my gameboy shut off as soon as I turned it on, and a blue line appeared on screen; the guy told me I had run out of batteries.

N64: Bought it second hand with Goldeneye and Mario Kart, the next game I bought was an NHL game for some bizarre reason.

Xbox: Jet Set Radio Future. In fact I bought the game in utter, utter excitement before I had even bought the console.

DS: Mario Kart. I bought the DS so I could play Mario Kart with a girl in Glasgow.

Wii: Zelda: Twilight Princess. I bought the Wii so I could later play Mario Kart with a girl in Glasgow.

360: Dead or Alive 4

The first PC game I ever bought was Dark Reign. The guy that owned the software shop in the city was an American guy, and I used to go in and look at the Dark Reign box pretty much every chance I got. He gave me a discount when I coughed up the pennies to buy it, bless. I got given Warcraft II soon afterwards for Christmas.
