pre-death, post-life, zombie mode

Well yesterday I found my pet rat terrier of 10 years dead in my backyard. So here are some pictures of my dogs.



Sadly, this is the most recent pictures I've taken of my rat terrier, Josie. They're a couple of years old now, but I suppose I thought my rat terrier would have been around longer than she was. :( I do have better photos of her before she had puppies, but they're not saved on my pc.


She was an elusive little booger when it came to taking photos of her. :)






These are her puppies she had back in 2007, and I still own them.

Since I moved to the city in 2008 they've been living in a large, fenced in backyard. It was the only way we could keep them, but I've always wondered if they missed their old big open spaces. I suppose since my rat terrier is gone now I'll never know. :(

Oh, and here's my cat that I adopted last Veterans Day. He's been doing great! :D

I'll miss her, and I may never have a dog as great as she was, but I'm not sad. She'll had a good life and I'm glad I had her. I enjoyed what little time I had with her. I just wish I could have given done better for her.

Got six pets, only have pictures of five because the rabbit wouldn't hold still. Each has a story, but I'm not going to waste people's time telling them all.

This is Minnie. She's 27. She outlived her previous owner, my great aunt.

Maddie. Golden retriever/Bassett hound mix.

My cat Simon, when we first got him as a runt and near death, compared to now, where he's a healthy, lazy bastard.

The majority of our pets are rescues. My rabbit and Layla are not; Layla is a breeder dog. It was a very hard decision considering we've only rescued pets before. While I didn't care about the breed, my parents wanted a female brittany puppy, and after searching all over for a brittany rescue they went ahead and bought Layla. Soapy, my rabbit, is just a pet store bunny.

Yeah, he was NOT a good looking kitten. But he was very young and didn't know how to clean himself up.
