!!!BIG TREAT FOR EVERYBODY. 28 A.L.E. MP3s!!!!!!

About 6 or 7 years ago, myself and some friends formed an absurdist comedic musical / spoken word group. It was called "Abbreviated. Life. Expectancy." and our first album was titled "Songs You've Never Heard Before". All of the copies of the first album sold out completely and most people on I-Mockery never had a chance to even hear it. Well, Chojin was one of the people who bought it back in the day and he was kind enough to convert all of the tracks to mp3 format. So a huge thanks to him for taking the time to do this. Keep in mind, this album was recording on a shitty old 4-track so the sound quality is quite bad, but you can still make it out and I promise you that many of the tracks will give you some good laughs. The times I spent recording the A.L.E. tracks with my friends were some of the best times in my life and I really miss doing this sort of thing. I'm sure when you hear these things, you'll see just how much fun we were having...

Lyrics to this album can be found here towards the bottom of the page.

This is the first time all these songs have ever been up on the web and I really hope you people enjoy these. We're also gonna try to get the 2nd A.L.E. album mp3s up online since that CD sold out too and I'm sure many of you haven't heard it. More on that later...

Lemme know what you think of all the above tracks!

-RoG-

btw: if anybody is interested in mirroring these files so we have them on more than one server, let me know. It's about 54 megs total.

btw #2: For those of you that never got a chance to hear it, here's another mp3 download of a song I did with my brother called "Dead Backstreet Boys" that was recorded years later. We were going to use it on another a.l.e. album if it ever got made, but it never happened.

UPDATE
We now have A.L.E.'s second album up online for download! Check it out:

Has anybody even downloaded these? :/

Ninjavenom Oct 16th, 2003 05:08 PM

I did. I told everyone to download them in my info on Soulseek, too. :o

Big Papa Goat Oct 16th, 2003 08:03 PM

The Truth About Jimmy Hoffa was fantastic

Zhukov Oct 22nd, 2003 11:21 AM

I downloaded "Utopia".

I liked the Sailour Song. That classical saloon-style clown-synth paino was love, and the accompanied drunken tuneless mumbling almost sounded melodic along side it ;)

Aww man.. so good. My favorites are the Sandpaper Man series. Just curious, where was " I wanna beat Pac-Man" gonna end up?

Was it going to be on the unmade "third album"?

liquidstatik Jan 21st, 2004 02:04 PM

I downloaded a few of 'em. They're pretty good! :D

rook Aug 12th, 2004 07:48 PM

-BrAd- Jan 11th, 2005 06:31 PM

Not sure how our lyrics made it onto that site, but amusing nonetheless. Some of 'em even have a few comments haha

wonderful nfl draft

executioneer Jan 18th, 2010 12:08 AM

are you a spambot

Pentegarn Jan 18th, 2010 08:21 AM

I am leaning toward not a spambot, more likely a future victim :P

executioneer Jan 18th, 2010 08:42 AM

did you see the homepage link in his profile

awwwfully suspicious, i'd say

edit: the whole "has a chinese IP" thing also has bad connotations

Pentegarn Jan 18th, 2010 08:44 AM

I pretty much spearheaded the lobby for the sports forum to get put in here, you think I am going to suspect an NFL sports news site of anything untoward? :P

executioneer Jan 18th, 2010 08:51 AM

a chinese NFL fan? whose name, based on the registration email address, is Nicole?

Pentegarn Jan 18th, 2010 08:54 AM

Odd yes. But until she actually spams, I can only assume she is Americanized. The site seems legit though, Mostly stories about the playoffs.

executioneer Jan 18th, 2010 08:56 AM

well this is why i've just been discussing it instead of straight to bans. this person has set off a lot of my internal robat alarms is all, ME HATE ROBAT

Pentegarn Jan 18th, 2010 08:59 AM

Well, in the interest of playing helper monkey, keep your eyes on itessangigniZ too.

And I too have internal alarms for moc320 but mine are based off her grasp of English (much the same as a spambots would look)

executioneer Jan 18th, 2010 09:07 AM

i checked both moc320 and garblenames ips in my fav ip checker and moc320 doesn't show up as a spam but whats his face does so yeah banned

Pentegarn Jan 18th, 2010 09:19 AM

lol @ garblenames

EDIT: I used Dr. Boogie's favorite trick to out garblenames by the way, just looked at the newest member to see if he looked spammy :P

Ex Leper Sep 15th, 2013 05:56 PM
