Your questions are pretty easy to answer. The current president of Iran is a maniac and an idiot. Idiots who also happen to be crazy say these kinds of things.

This of course wouldn't be too big of a deal, if this guy wasn't soon to have a nuke at his disposal (at least that's what he'd like). Add that to the fact that he already said Israel should be wiped off of the map, and you hence get israel's response.

This goof ball needs to go away. Not just for israel's sake, but for Iran's. That country has far too many West lovers under the age of 40 to be led by that jackass, IMO.

Maybe because the current Iranian president is a fundamentalist muslim and anti-semite, and because Israel is a nation made up primarily of Jews, many of whom lost relatives and other loved ones in the holocaust.

You know. The whole "extermination of six million of their people" thing is kind of a touchy subject for the Israelis.

Why would Iran say the Holocaust was a myth? Because Iran is made up of of psycho fundamentalists, thats why.

There are International Laws in place because of WW2 which prohibit leaders from calling for Genocide. Doing so is technically considered an act of war. Israel is a soveriegn nation, responding to Iran's public threats calling for an "Islamic bomb".

Israel would attack because of Iran's nuclear program, the long term financing of the Hezbollah guerrilas in Syria/Lebanon, and State sponsoring the long range missiles which were recently employed by Palestinians located in the newly acquired strategic points of Gaza to hit civilian targets in central Israel, and just missing an Israeli power plants. ---- NOT for the insensitive remarks he's made. When the Malaysian PM made anti-semitic comments they didn't threaten to bomb Maylasia, you asswipe.

Ahmadinejad, who once said that the attempt to eradicate Jews in the Holocaust was "myth," has now charged that European countries sought to complete the genocide by establishing Israel, a Jewish state in the midst of Muslim countries.

The latest in a series of anti-Semitic comments by the Iranian leader in the past few months comes on the heels of Iran's announcement it has developed equipment to separate uranium from its ore - a piece of equipment other countries were reluctant to sell to Iran because the machinery can be used in the process of making nuclear weapons.

"Don't you think that continuation of genocide by expelling Jews from Europe was one of [the Europeans'] aims in creating a regime of occupiers of [Jerusalem]?" the official Islamic Republic News agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"Isn't that an important question?"

Ahmadinejad said Europeans had decided to create a "Jewish camp" as the best means for ridding the continent of Jews and said the camp, Israel, now enjoyed support from the United States and Europe in what he termed the slaughter of Muslims.

Last month, Ahmadinejad said the Holocaust, in which Nazi Germany killed six million Jews, was a myth. After global outrage over the comments, he said that Europeans, if they persisted in reality of the slaughter, should cede some of their territory for a Jewish state.

In October, Ahmadinejad called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

The fiery Iranian president said anti-Semitic sentiment was a strong and long-term European tradition while Jews had lived peacefully among Muslim for centuries.
