RIP, grasshopper

Damn! David Carridine was a
FRIGGIN' LIVING TREASURE OF WIERDNESS.

The world is a smaller, grayer place without him.

Tadao Jun 4th, 2009 03:53 PM

Oh come on. The dude went out like a puss.

RaNkeri Jun 4th, 2009 04:01 PM

I only know him from Kill Bill.

Oh and I think he was in one Mad TV Steven Seagal skit

Mockery Jun 4th, 2009 04:24 PM

If that's all you knew him from, you definitely should go check out the old Kung Fu show from back in the day. It was entertaining as hell. Really sucks he went out like this. :(

Tadao Jun 4th, 2009 04:29 PM

On a related note. Hey Finland, Bruce Lee created the TV show Kung FU and was going to be the star, but the powers that be decided to have David do it and everyone agrees that he could be the only possible choice for that roll. I bet you'd still enjoy in 2009.

RaNkeri Jun 4th, 2009 04:32 PM

I checked the wikipedia, it seems to be on par with McGyver, Zorro, Batman etc. so I think I'll give it a try.

Tadao Jun 4th, 2009 04:42 PM

That is the worst thing I have ever heard. :(

RaNkeri Jun 4th, 2009 04:49 PM

I'm not ashamed of watching those shows in my childhood >:

Tadao Jun 4th, 2009 04:52 PM

No, those are all great shows, but the comparison makes me sad.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 4th, 2009 05:26 PM

Then once you get done watching the original Kung Fu........the Legend continues.

JJ_Maniac Jun 4th, 2009 05:33 PM

Apparently Yahoo! Canada is under the impression he killed himself.

Probably because that is what the police in Bangkok are saying.

Fathom Zero Jun 4th, 2009 05:42 PM

:lol

Kitsa Jun 4th, 2009 05:50 PM

It said the cord was tied around his neck "and genitals". I'm not trying to make more of this than it is, but that doesn't sound normal for a suicide...does it?

Tadao Jun 4th, 2009 06:01 PM

I doubt he would commit suicide in a normal way.

executioneer Jun 4th, 2009 10:51 PM

almost sounds like autoerotic asphyxiation gone terribly awry to me

Kitsa Jun 5th, 2009 11:44 AM

Well...if he's gone he's gone, I'm not going to dwell on the how because it always seems so sad that someone spends their whole life trying to create, only to have everyone stick on how they left.

It doesn't make him any less cool, he was a great actor.

Dimnos Jun 5th, 2009 11:50 AM

I think he was killed by a hooker. :\

Damn Grays.

Kitsa Jun 5th, 2009 01:23 PM

They just put an article up on The Smoking Gun that backs up some of those theories.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 5th, 2009 02:04 PM

BANGKOK TOO DANGEROUS apparently

Evil Robot Jun 5th, 2009 07:12 PM

When I was in high school there was a kid that got into trouble because he was going around and asking people "whats the capitol of Thialand?". Before they could answer he would yell "BANGKOK!" and proceed to punch them in the dick. The person who did this is dead now, strange similarity. The police should check for bruises on his penis.

"Kung Fu" should be required watching for members of i-mockery.

The reruns sustained me through my college years.

:tear

Kitsa Jun 6th, 2009 10:30 AM

Anyone remember the song "boot to the head" from 80s-90s Dr. Demento? Damn, now I need to find that song.

Edit: here it is

Just in case anyone is wondering what the REAL story is.
