FREAKS AND GEEKS DVDS YAY :D :D

I got them :eek :eek :eek

The special edition 8-disk set, oh fuck it is so awesome

these are the best DVDs I own :(

Royal Tenenbaum Mar 30th, 2004 06:41 PM

Fuck, they are too expensive. :(

Jixby Phillips Mar 30th, 2004 07:55 PM

They are worth every penny.

Ghost of Fraiser Mar 30th, 2004 08:34 PM

:lol @ Jixby for paying in pennies!

Jixby Phillips Mar 31st, 2004 12:05 AM

Nooooo i didn't pay in pennies i ordered it with my bank card!!!!!!!!!

PS the 6 disk edition is coming out next tuesday and it will be about 50 bucks in stores probably.

I am only on the first disk and each episode has 2 commentaries and deleted scenes. The extras are all great.

Royal Tenenbaum Mar 31st, 2004 11:50 AM

Yeah, I'm buying the six disc one. When you posted, I thought it came out yesterday. :( Then I looked on the website and realized I had to wait another week.

pjalne Mar 31st, 2004 06:09 PM

Isn't the six-disc one edited to avoid paying money for music rights?

Jixby Phillips Mar 31st, 2004 07:31 PM

Where did you hear that? That is not right. The content on disks 1-6 are identical on both sets. The only difference is the extra 2 disks of extras.

Rongi Mar 31st, 2004 07:35 PM

I have enough money for the 8 disk one :(. I wanna download an episode and see if I like it :/

Jixby Phillips Mar 31st, 2004 07:44 PM

I sent huond my old Freaks and Geeks bootleg video collection. Maybe you can get him to send a video or two your way.

Rongi Mar 31st, 2004 07:52 PM

Cool :)

I could pay for shipping if you want, huond.

huond Apr 1st, 2004 12:18 PM

I heard it where all correct information comes from, the internet.

huond Apr 11th, 2004 10:53 AM

rongi,

sorry for the no reply, but your tape is on the way. :(

Rongi Apr 11th, 2004 01:19 PM

:picklehat Thanks huond

huond Apr 21st, 2004 06:40 PM

so what did you think >:

Rongi Apr 21st, 2004 10:24 PM

I like it a lot :(

But I dunno if I could shell out that much money. I'm sure it's worth the money, but still :(

huond Apr 21st, 2004 10:26 PM

i felt similar, i just bought the 6-disk set. a friend who bought the 8-disc said he would make tapes of the extra 2 discs for me :(

Jixby Phillips Apr 22nd, 2004 01:22 AM

The funniest cut stuff is on the 6 disk set anyway, but the biggest treat on the 8 disk version is the Q&A that they did at the Museum of Television and Radio. There is some great cut stuff on the extra 2 disks, it's just that the most memorable stuff is on the 6 disk set.

I'm just starting to watch this show...don't know why I never got around to it...its good, not brilliant but fun.

Just watched it through for the first time last year and I really liked it. It was weird seeing Linda Cardellini so young in it.

Aimless Sep 11th, 2009 11:26 AM

Bill was my favorite thing about the show. <3
