For those of you who haven't used facebook, it's like a weird combination of LiveJournal and Myspace, without all of the gratuitous advertisements. I like it!

isn't that affiliated with universities? don't you have to be a student or alum to make an account?

No, it's just mostly college kids that use it.

I have joined this i-malarky group and find it informative, useful and fungible.

Actually, I'll be damned if I can figure out what any of these networks are for beyond stimulating the cluster of nerves associated with collecting things.

I joined facebook after months of not wanting to join facebook back in August 2004. Which, unless you're theapportioner, makes me better than you.

It started as a Harvard thing, then an Ivy League thing, then a Quasivy League thing, then a whatever school possible thing, and now any slob in a smelly t-shirt can join. I have a friend who works for them. It's great because when I'm home alone on a Saturday night, I can know up to the minute what my million friends are doing without me.
