Batman: The Brave and the Bold

I actually like this. At first, I thought it was going to be more kiddie. Guess I was wrong. Any one else catch it this last weekend?

pac-man Nov 18th, 2008 11:27 AM

Didn't see it, but commercials look shitty.

Nick Nov 20th, 2008 01:45 AM

Anything with Plasticman is awesome.

Angryhydralisk Nov 20th, 2008 11:40 AM

This looks like it'd be fun to watch. Even for a schmuck like myself.

captain516 Nov 27th, 2008 01:58 AM

Silver Age Batman is win. I would've prefered if they gave him an Adam West-type voice, but other than that, I tink it's f*cking awesome. Really, how can you not love Batman with a light saber?

pac-man Nov 27th, 2008 02:04 AM

How can you love Batman with a lightsaber?

Ant10708 Nov 29th, 2008 09:03 AM

Is this a new show or a new dvd movie?

pac-man Nov 29th, 2008 05:27 PM

It's a new show.

Durrsomething Dec 12th, 2008 06:27 PM

It's shit, it's bad enough that Bruce Timm and Paul Dini aren't involved, no classic Blue Beetle, there are no Batman rouges, Gotham, and Batman is voiced by Hoss Dalgado, but this is the unwanted return of goofy stupid Batman instead of the Gritty Avenger we know and love. This is going to fuck up the image of Batman to kids even more then The Batman, which was the thought impossible to out-suck. The show should be called "Crapman: The Gay and The Old"

DevilWearsPrada Dec 12th, 2008 06:31 PM

Your posting literally gives me a fucking brain tumor.

BurntToShreds Dec 12th, 2008 07:56 PM

It comes on in just a few minutes. It the Christmas episode, featuring Red Tornado.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 12th, 2008 09:50 PM

I don't like anyone in this thread except for BurnToShreds, DevilWearsPrada, Ant10708, Captain516, AngryHydralisk, Nick and especially Pac-Man. The rest of you need to shove off!

I've honestly had enough of the serious, EDGY Batman for one year, thanks to The Dark Knight. I just wanna watch something fun. By the way, did anyone else catch the Christmas ep yesterday?

Durrsomething Dec 13th, 2008 07:28 PM

What about next year? And remember what campy Batman gave us last time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKNSstnq4sg

Save the goofy camp for Superman or someone

I saw it. I probably won't be watching it again, but I will agree that it's nice that they're trying to give the campy Batman a place. I'm sure younger audiences will eat it up. The voice actor who does Batman kinda sucks too.

Durrsomething Dec 13th, 2008 08:32 PM

When I have kids, the only Batman cartoon their watching are the Timm/Dini ones and nothing else (Except maybe Batman: Gotham Knight)

I'm just really glad that they didn't go with Kevin Conroy again. His voice wouldn't really fit with the whole attitude of the show.

pac-man Dec 13th, 2008 11:47 PM

They should've cast Adam West. Diedrich Bader doesn't sound like Batman. Conroy would've been fine; I'm sure he could've adapted to the style of the show. I'd rather listen to Christian Bale's growling than to Oswald from The Drew Carrey Show.

choHIlqoq Jan 7th, 2009 04:08 PM

More than just him too

Corey Burton has played two different robots in a DC cartoon
First as Brainiac and now Red Tornado. I'm enjoying the show so far
The Entire Friday night line-up has replaced Smackdown as must see viewing.:)

I turned it on the other day and they had the episode with Plastic Man in it. Awesome.

I'm just glad they didn't have "Hawaii" in it.

It could have include "Baby Plas" too,so another reason to be thankful. :lol

So, in the next episode, Batman becomes a Green Lantern. This show has (almost) restored my faith in CN.

captain516 Feb 20th, 2009 06:42 PM

Can't wait for this.

Durrsomething Feb 22nd, 2009 08:12 PM

Maybe if it was "Superman: Brave and The Bold" I'll watch it, since I can handle a campy Superman, just not the one that fights idiots like Pre-Crisis Humpty Dumpty
