Television Shows (NEW ARCHER IN TWO :EEKS)

I tried looking for a general thread to discuss t.v. shows. No luck.

I just finished watching the 20th anniversary of COPS.

This woman called the COPS on another woman because she sold her some bad drugs. woman 2 declined that saying she does not sell drugs, she's a prostitute.

Anyway, reason why I mentioning this, the clip was so old the 2nd woman was wearing a "Martin" T-shirt.

Ahh, Fox's glory days.

Then I proceeded to watch a few episodes of Martin.

Edit: prob still wont work.

Tadao Sep 20th, 2008 07:30 PM

I have a Dead Milkmen shirt I still wear. It doesn't magically place me in 1985. lolrofljkjk

Martin sucks BTW

Wild Wallace Sep 20th, 2008 07:39 PM

If Martin sucks, the Fresh Prince BLOWS.

Tadao Sep 20th, 2008 07:40 PM

No argument there.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 20th, 2008 07:49 PM

You should have bought Dead Milkman shirt with the cow using the time machine then. I liked the first few seasons of Martin. I think Martin Lawrence was paid per character that he played.

I finally saw the beginning of the 1st episode of Mission Hill the other day. :)

Tadao Sep 20th, 2008 08:15 PM

Mission Hill is good, but like anything that is replayed too many times, I have grown to hate it. I'm watching Lost for the first time in my life. My mom already blurted out a part I haven't seen yet.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 20th, 2008 08:58 PM

I haven't seen Lost yet but everyone I know talk about it and ruin it for me. I'm trying to get through Arrested Development season 2 now. Season 3 was great.

Sam Sep 20th, 2008 08:59 PM

THE ISLAND IS ALIVE

Tadao Sep 20th, 2008 09:04 PM

You dick

Esuohlim Sep 20th, 2008 10:46 PM

:lol

I started Heroes a few days ago and so far it's been gay as hell so I'll probably stop.

Wild Wallace Sep 21st, 2008 06:26 PM

Heroes will continue to be gay more and more as you watch. :lol

And Arrested Development Season 2 is like the best TV season ever.

Esuohlim Sep 22nd, 2008 01:36 AM

I don't know man I might have to keep watching because I have a thing for girls with short dark hair :(

<3

Pub Lover Sep 22nd, 2008 01:47 AM

She dies, pretty early on. So early, that I didn't know who the hell that was for a good five seconds, which is forever in nerd time.

Esuohlim Sep 22nd, 2008 01:58 AM

Good enough reason to quit watching then :( :(

I'm thinking about starting on Weeds, the Wire, maybe Entourage, and maybe 24. Should I bother?

Right now I'm binging on X-Files again :eek

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 27th, 2008 03:00 PM

Almost through season 1 of Arrested Developement. I need to change it up a bit so I'm watching the 3 stooges shorts.

Kitsa Sep 27th, 2008 06:58 PM

Punk Rock Girl :(

Schimid Sep 28th, 2008 02:26 PM

I watched the first season of Heroes and that was it...season 2 was laaame.

Dexter is back, that's always good. And I'm in love with Flapjack.

Guitar Woman Sep 28th, 2008 02:29 PM

WANNA HAVE SOME ADVENTURES!?

I'm waiting diligently for Lucky Star to get to American television, because I am a disgusting deviant.

Cliff Steele Sep 28th, 2008 04:20 PM

i've only watched weeds out of all of those milhouse, but it is worth watching. Very uneven writing, (the subplots for her brother in law are especially terrible, and the uppity fat black woman is annoying), but the overall storyline is good and it's pretty funny. I would say it's about half as good as Arrested Development

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 28th, 2008 11:52 PM

I got home from a date last night at 6am, turn on the t.v. and watched the "Mr. Men" show. WOW is that fucked up. Just a bunch of stereotypes dumbed down for kids. Also...hilarious though.

Dimnos Sep 29th, 2008 04:06 PM

Has anyone been watching that new show Fringe? I have only seen the first 2 episodes, that might be all that is out so far, and I thought they were pretty good.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 1st, 2008 01:54 PM

Picked up Get Smart season 1 last night. Watched the pilot episode. Great stuff! I had a huge crush on Barbara Feldon growing up. Watching it again now reminds me it's still there. <3

Tadao Oct 1st, 2008 02:06 PM

I have season 1 too. She is hawt in the pilot.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 1st, 2008 07:21 PM

yeah she is:wank

BurntToShreds Oct 4th, 2008 06:05 PM

Chowder and Flapjack are my favorite shows on TV right now, if only because they perfectly contrast each other. One is a bright, colorful world with equally colorful characters. The other, however, is dank and gloomy, with at least one moment in every episode that will probably give you nightmares. And you definitely know that a Cthulhu episode is right around the corner...

Young Ones - The Bomb, awesome episode.

Tadao Oct 6th, 2008 07:36 PM

For pure cheese Sanctuary is fun, I
ll probably burn out on it after this first opening episode though. Too much back story.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 8th, 2008 09:12 AM

My girl is trying to get me to watch Criminal Minds. I watched the season premier and wow is the acting trash. I don't mind watching it just for Joe Mantegna though.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 14th, 2008 10:03 PM

In Living Color - A bunch of Fire Marshal Bill clips.

"Let me show ya something!"

WhiteRat Oct 15th, 2008 01:26 AM

I can't stop watching the Travel Channel. I think I watch it as much as I do ESPN.

Yup, she's got a nice ass.

Bizarre foods is a great show as well as the "hip" food guy Anthony Bordain.

Grislygus Oct 17th, 2008 01:06 PM

I loathe Zimmern or whatever his name is

My brother watches him all the goddamned time and the fat fuck literally creams himself every time he shovels something into his gaping maw

I do love when he just shoves his hand into something that a world-class chef is cooking and helps himself, oblivious to the expertly contained lethal rage simmering beside him, though

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 18th, 2008 09:45 PM

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives pisses me off because none of the places are close to me.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 27th, 2008 04:29 PM

Young person's guide to history part 1. I thought this was hilarious. Can't wait for part 2.

Tadao Oct 27th, 2008 05:51 PM

I didn't really like it, but who cares. Gald someone does. I'm looking forward to Xtacles.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 27th, 2008 07:54 PM

I just saw an advertisement for that last night. So I take it they didn't put Frisky Dingo into season 3 mode? Aren't the Xtacles Malter clones?

Tadao Oct 27th, 2008 08:57 PM

Since when did Frisky Dingo actually follow a real story line. I'm sure everything will still all be the same plots and all. I don't know how to really explain FD to anyone who hasn't followed it.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 30th, 2008 10:04 PM

I started watching American Dad a few months back. I enjoy it thoroughly.

On a side note I'm sick of that Axe: Dark Temptation commercial. Enough already.

bigtimecow Oct 30th, 2008 11:40 PM

what are your thoughts on family guy? because that's what you're watching -flashbacks

ItalianStereotype Oct 31st, 2008 01:43 AM

Mad Men! Great show. But then I also think that three women don't have one brain between them.

I also really like Penn and Teller's Bullshit!

It's not for everyone, but American Dad! is not Family Guy. If they were animated in differing styles the differences would be more pronounced. Both are good on their own merits, and I hope Fox (and viewers) learned a lesson from dismissing Futurama.

Zomboid Oct 31st, 2008 08:48 AM

Might not be family guy, but it still sucks.

I had my x-files binge a few months ago. I got up to season seven when I realised how terrible it had become. Seasons 3 and 4 are fantastic though. I also had a greater appreciation for the movie actually watching it in context.

The new movie was not too good.

Wtf? They are the same thing. Both are good, but are the same. Don't be gay.

10,000 Volt Ghost Oct 31st, 2008 06:37 PM

American Dad now is what Family Guy was seasons 1-3 which was Simpsons seasons 5-8. End point.

I mainly like American Dad because I miss Paul Lynde and Roger is the closest thing there is right now.

http://www.surfthechannel.com is going to ruin my life :(

I just started Weeds, and it's the funniest damn show I've seen in a while.

ZeldaQueen Dec 3rd, 2008 08:36 PM

I used to watch that 2006 Flash Gordon series until it was canceled. >:

I also watch Doctor Who, but that's not showing in America now. So I'm not watching much on tv. :(

MetalMilitia Dec 3rd, 2008 08:41 PM

Right now I'm watching a lot of Mythbusters. It's kind of lame in parts and I skip some myths completely but still an interesting watch most of the time.

ZeldaQueen Dec 3rd, 2008 10:20 PM

My Physics teacher showed us a Mythbusters episode for amusement once. In it, they tried to prove that a vacumn cleaner could explode or something. It then snowballed into them trying to make a vacumn cleaner into a rocket booster.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 13th, 2008 10:17 PM

Starting watching Get Smart again. Watching the episode where Jaime is introduced.

Also Dog the Bounty Hunter needs to not be on t.v anymore. He's slightly tollerable but his wife makes me cringe with a syringe.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 26th, 2008 04:23 PM

Was watching "Fresh prince of Bel-Air" the other day and they set Geoffrey up for a date. I lol'ed when G was singing the H.M.S. Pintafore buttercup tune while getting ready.

house M.D., charmed, sailormoon, forensic files, south park, fresh prince of bel-air, masterminds, tru.tv, ID channel, quantum leap, most evil, cold case files, 20/20, american justice, deranged, wicked attraction, the soup, best week ever, cold blood

MetalMilitia Dec 27th, 2008 08:37 AM

I've started watching Mad Men which is apparently good - though I've yet to see much evidence of this. The first episode wasn't bad but it didn't inspire me to continue watching.

bigtimecow Dec 27th, 2008 09:42 AM

american dad is family guy without flashbacks. seriously. they even set up for flashbacks but then don't do them, probably because the writers were like FUCK THIS SHOW IS EXACTLY THE SAME WE JUST HAVE AN ALIEN INSTEAD OF A DOG BECAUSE BOTH SHOWS ARE ABOUT A DAD AND HIS FAMILY HMMM FUCK WE SUCK

family guy got SO old SO fast

Tadao Dec 27th, 2008 02:47 PM

Oh god, here we go again. King of the Hill fucking sucks infected rhinoceros clits.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 27th, 2008 03:47 PM

From season 4 onward I think Seth McFarlane lost creative control with his Family Guy It seems like FOX was like "Okay, we'll bring your show back because it makes us money. Oh, by the way. It's OUR show now and we're going to drop references to classic shows and start making 80's references every 3 minutes. Also Family Guy will now be unfunny. Also we're going to change the character types around. New Chris will be old Stewie. New Peter will be old Chris and New Stewie will be just more like a regular kid." and Seth was like "Ooooookay. Well I'm fine with that I guess. Except I get to make a new show and have the characters the way I want them to be. It's going to be like Family Guy + Paul Lynde." and FOX was like "Deal, except you have to have Paul Lynde be an alien and then also have a talking fish for some reason too."

That's my take on it at least.

Tadao Dec 27th, 2008 03:50 PM

Or Seth made a bet that people will watch anything.

My roommate just picked up "Always sunny in Philadelphia" on dvd. Watched a few episodes of it. I've heard a lot of great things about this show but didn't think it was going to be as funny as it turned out.

bigtimecow Dec 29th, 2008 10:43 PM

im gonna mention HOME MOVIES again because i have the biggest boner for it ever now

just finished season one; SO GLAD squigglevision is gone after this. but it was still funny. and glad paula's voice actor changed. some of the special features are lol but the interviews are long as fuck. and i'm getting sick and tired of "fake" interviews, like when the person getting asked questions gives long, obviously fake answers to be funny. most of the time, it's rather annoying, mainly because I ACTUALYL WANT TO HEAR REAL ANSWERS AND INTERESTING DIALOGUE, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT

I was watching an episode the other day where Murdock was taking care of a small plant in the van. B.A. got so mad and he was like "Quit it with that plant Murdock or I'll crush the life out of it, turn it into dust and then watch it blow away like a tumble weed!"

:lol

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 5th, 2009 09:57 PM

It's always sunny in Philadelphia - Dennis and Dee's Mom Is Dead.

Watched this on saturday night with my roommate. I cried/laughed so hard I almost fell off my couch when the gang were arguing with the mother's lawyer.

Tadao Jan 6th, 2009 06:57 PM

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 6th, 2009 06:59 PM

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 12th, 2009 10:27 PM

Tool Academy which seems like a "Charm School" for guys on VH1. It's interesting just seeing all these fools in one space at a time when there's not techno playing, strobe lights flashing and no draft beer to be seen.

Dimnos Jan 13th, 2009 02:08 PM

Why is it called Tool Academy? Because they teach these fags how to use tools or because they are a bunch of tools?

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 13th, 2009 03:42 PM

They are a bunch of tools(One guy calls himself Matsuflex). I wish the premise was that they just beat these guys with tools.

It's too bad they didn't finish their degrees and Clown College.

MetalMilitia Jan 13th, 2009 03:51 PM

I watched all of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia recently. It's not the greatest show ever but still pretty good. I think its main problem is that all the characters is completely unlikeable and you really don't want to "spend time with them" as film critics say.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 13th, 2009 05:11 PM

I would spend time with them. They make me and my friends seem not so corrupt.

I was watching a clip of this with my girlfriend. Its like a show for cheating husbands and they parade them around in front of a bunch of women while their wives/girlfriends SECRETLY watch them and i dunno the winner is supposed to be who changes the most or something. ANYWAY we were watching this clip and the guys are doing a "fashion show" which is really more like a male stripper show, they walk around showing off their bodies and all the women in the audience go OOOLLALALA and some of the guys try to flirt with the ladies while their girlfriends secretely watch...

then this one guy comes out with a basketball and all the ladies are like ooolala. Then he's dribbling the ball and he loses control of the ball and one of the girls in the audience gets hit IN THE FACE WITH THE BALL

LOL!

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 13th, 2009 06:32 PM

I forgot about the basketball to the face.

kahljorn Jan 13th, 2009 06:34 PM

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 15th, 2009 12:58 PM

Holy shit, Always sunny in Philadelphia just beat out Reno 911 for me.

Everyone knows the iconic line from Die Hard where Bruce Willis yells "Yippie Kay Yay Motherfucker!" What's hilarious is watching Die Hard on network t.v. like USA or TNT where they change the line to "Yippie Kay Yay Mother Falcon!"

So anytime me or one of my friends are pissed in front of kids or at work we exclaim "Mother Falcon!" instead.

Just watched an episode of Always sunny where the gang gets taken hostage. Later in the episode Frank pulls out a gun and yells "Yippie Kay Yay Mother Falcon!"

:lol:lol:lol:lol

LittleDollClaudia Jan 18th, 2009 09:03 PM

I remember that episode of COPS! She actually expected the officer to go and get her drug money back from the dealer.

Here's some of the crap I watch that dominates my idiot box:

Law and Order:CI ( only ones with Goren)
AB FAB ( Patsy and Eddy have no redeeming qualities, which is damn funny to me)
Robot Chicken (Seth Green ruining all of my childhood memories, way to go!)
Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (BBCAmerica version, the American ones suck. Nothing like a Scottish boy yelling at you to stop pulling your plonker in the kitchen)
Match Game on Game Show Network (70's with Gene Rayburn-guy reminds me of Dracula)

10,000 Volt Ghost Jan 23rd, 2009 07:43 PM

I've been watching a lot of 3 Stooges shorts lately. Finished watching the one where they become plumbers to escape from the cops. Hilarity ensues, especially when they realize the pipes are broke because they have wiring in them so they flooded the electrical pipes. The cooks face is priceless when he turns on the stove and water shoots out. Then he leaves the room and comes back in a rain coat.
