sounds like someone needs a hug.

back on topic: almond joys fucking rock.

Chojin Nov 1st, 2007 05:06 PM

yeah, I love almond joys

Guitar Woman Nov 1st, 2007 06:02 PM

Mabye if they weren't filled with shredded coconut the most disgusting thing ever put into candy I would enjoy them

I mean, I love almonds, but these things are horrible

Emu Nov 1st, 2007 06:48 PM

I think you can get them without those

Guitar Woman Nov 1st, 2007 08:53 PM

Mabye it's just because you guys are old fart adults and like gross food like asparagus and brussel sprouts.

Also, if I ever saw any of you in real life, rest assured that I would never try to talk to you and instead would run as fast as I could in the opposite direction.

For one thing, I'm a really withdrawn and soft spoken guy and can't handle any sort of social situation without feeling uncomfortable, and to me meeting someone you had only previously known over the internet would be the most akward thing ever.

Secondly, I'd look really stupid if I went LOL HAY AREN'T YOU ____________ FROM I-MOCKERY? IT'S ME, GUITAR WOMAN! LET'S TALK ABOUT THAT INTERNET, HUH?

MarioRPG Nov 1st, 2007 09:12 PM

I would hate to talk to you to, GW. As I'd imagine your breath would be awful, and you would smell like cat pee.

Preach it. It's hard as hell to finish college if you're majoring in something you don't like. Unless you're one of those Two hours of study for every hour of class nerds. If you're decently smart, and you get a major you enjoy and you're motivated to show up to class, it's a breeze.

My sophomore year I got an apartment at the top of a huge hill, and a bunch of shitty classes. That killed all motivation for me. But I got an A+ in Philosophy :lol Criminal Justice is a good major.

Odes To Pub Lover

Grislygus Nov 2nd, 2007 03:31 PM

Selected Sonnets, recited in memory of this thread's saving grace, as presented by Grisly Hamilton Gus.

Grislygus Nov 2nd, 2007 03:35 PM

Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest
Now is the time that face should form another,
Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest,
Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother.
For where is she so fair whose uneared womb
Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry?
Or who is he so fond will be the tomb
Of his self-love, to stop prosterity?
Thou art thy mother's glass, and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime;
So thou windows of thine age shalt see,
Despite of wrinkles, this thy golden time.
But if thou live rememb'red not to be,
Die single, and thine image dies with thee.

Grislygus Nov 2nd, 2007 03:40 PM

When, in disgrace with Fortune and men's eyes,
I all one beweep my outcast state,
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries,
And look upon myself and curse my face,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possessed,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state
(Like to lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth) sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remembered such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.

Grislygus Nov 2nd, 2007 03:45 PM

No longer mourn for me when I am dead
Than you shall hear the surly sullen bell
Give warning to the world that I am fled
From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell:
Nay, if you read this line, remember not
The hand that writ it;
(blasphemous omission)
Oh, if I say, you look upon this verse
When perhaps compounded am with clay,
Do not so much as my poor name rehearse,
(blasphemous omisssion)
Lest the wise world should look into your moan,
And mock you with me after I am gone.

In Memorium

bigtimecow Nov 2nd, 2007 08:11 PM

i have three huge bags of skittles left, anyone want 'em?

RaNkeri Nov 3rd, 2007 05:27 AM

Well hello there. Haven't been here for a while, mostly thanks to my laptop which busted on the very first week and which spend almost over 4 weeks in the repairstore to get fixed. Now I have to wait for another week to get the internet fixed. Has anything spiffy happened during my outrageous absence? :x

Sethomas Nov 3rd, 2007 05:45 AM

I just noticed your title. Eurotrash? I once had a Swedish flatmate, and when I saw her eat cereal with yogurt rather than the hip American fashion of using milk, I said "You wacky Europeans". She went on a rant how she was flattered that I called her European, as she perceives Scandinavians as outsiders of the continent.

Finns, however, are stretching it to call themselves "human".

Chojin Nov 3rd, 2007 04:41 PM

The worst part of talking about the internet in person is saying peoples' screennames ;<

But seriously, it's much less awkward the more people that are there, the more you all have in common, the less you all talk about the internet, and the more alcohol you all consume.

Emu Nov 3rd, 2007 07:57 PM

This is like the only site I've registered for in the past 5 years where I have not used my real name as my screen name. If I sign every post with my real name can I get people to call me that like they do with willie?

bigtimecow Nov 3rd, 2007 08:52 PM

i dunno. we should all try it out

Emu Nov 3rd, 2007 08:57 PM
