I could have had this game when I was younger- my dad got this and "Commando" and I chose the latter as I wasn't much of a sports fan and felt like running around with a gun would be better than driving a car. Luckily my friend got this, so I was able to play it anyway.

I also remember they ported this to game boy also

Possibly one of the best games for the NES. Absolute go to game for sleepovers when I was a kid. There is the one track that is covered in puddles and all the splashing noise and car noises would make the game all glithchy.
I used to always think the rockets were the best thing to have but then I found out if you got the skills the bombs are better. |
I remember playing this when I was younger. Man, did I suck at it.

One car always becomes a cheating fucker in the game the longer you play, rocketing off at insane speeds that let him complete the entire race in about 24 seconds. For me, this was the Yellow Car.

One of the great games of the era. It's even fun to say.

Thanks for the Pro Am love! This game still rocks my world what with emulators and all. And it's legal, seeing as I still own the cartridge. I played the Genesis port, but I believe this one to be superior.
If you ever review "Swamp Thing", be ready for a shitacular experience. |
I have to second your cheating car there, Jaimas. That one would always find a way to sneak past you on the later levels, especially when you were out of weaponry to fight back.
I HATE YOU YELLOW CAR, AND EVERYTHING YOU STAND/RACE FOR!!! Still, a kick-ass game that I still play every now and then (and I, too, have the actual cartridge). |
