FOR ALL GUITAR JERKS

Check out www.powertabs.net. They have a big-ass database of guitar transcriptions, including one that I hadn't been able to find in years of searching. Not only that, but they have a free application called Powertab that plays the transcription in MIDI, highlighting each note as it's played.

If you've already heard of this, then screw you. :)

Enjoy.

Do you know if anyone has ever tried to tab lightning bolt?

Big Papa Goat Mar 7th, 2005 11:23 PM

All I want is a tab for Under the Oak :(
And they didn't have it :(

They have a lot of random song that no one would ever want to play but when you try to find a kind of rare song then its not on there... the software is cool to write songs with though

Big Papa Goat: under the oak is very simple to play by ear. 3 riffs or something. It's in E minor. Get to it.

you dont tab lightning bolt, lightning bolt is easy to play. its mostly just chord changes, random harmonics and him pressing down on pedals at the right times. like when it sounds like he's playing 2 instruments its usually him turning and overdrive on/off or him fucking with his wammy

i mean, it's not EASY by any means. you have to have his gear to truly sound like him, which none of us will ever do.

Helm Mar 23rd, 2005 06:07 PM

no, most of the time when he sounds like he's playing two different instruments, it's him alternating between playing on the bass strings on his bass, and him playing on his guitar strings on his bass.

im talking about when he presses down on his over drive for the "THUD"
