I saw a myth busters episode about people dieing from shooting the gun straight up in the air. They said the bullet would be non lethal upon hitting the ground.

Yeah but my point is that you need to shoot it straight up obviously, so for more accuracy he would have needed to hold the triangle up while shooting. Otherwise it's still guessing. >:
