BLOG UPDATE: "COME OUT THIS SATURDAY FOR RE'S ART SHOW!"

If any of you are even remotely close to Los Angeles, please come out to Re's show this Saturday. It's her first solo art show ever and she's been working ridiculously hard on putting it together for a long time. We'll both be there for the entire opening reception this Saturday night from 8pm - Midnight. Admission is free and there will be snacks. SNACKS :O

More details about the show in the latest I-Mockery blog post:

Oh and by the way, if you don't come to the show, this is how you'll make Re feel:

Can you really live with that guilt?

Hope to see you guys there!

Knock 'em dead, Re; you are, as the kids still say, awesome!

I actually wish that I could go. Normally I'd be lying, but I love going to art shows and you need to post pictures.

Thanks everyone!!!

If anyone is interested in purchasing things you can do so through the gallery. Here is a link to my page:

Those giclee prints are fine art archival prints- they last at least 150 years. They are signed and numbered. I only made 10 of each.

OMG it's almost tomorrow!!!!!

Doops! Awesome!

Did you charge the ourageous prices that let people know you are an actual artist? Do you know anything about the buyers?

Chojin Jun 18th, 2007 11:34 PM

Ha. not yet. but soon.
I met most of the buyers the night of the show. Most worked in like the movie business and stuff (which is almost everyone out here). Everyone was really nice.

I already was contacted by another gallery (much higher up on the food chain) for a show in 2008 so that is very good news.

I put some photos from the show in my blog so everyone can see all the excitement!:

I actually sold 3 more paintings today - don't know who bought those yet.

Your style is like, wicked awesome. I think "Gardener" is my favorite

Doopa, I am So, So, So, SO pleased for you!

See, now, that's one great thing about LA, there are people there with the income to go to a show and buy something just cause they like it! That was not going to happen in Virginia (or Salem for that matter, but I got roots now).

Plus, LA is like the capital of the (No insult intended, this is the actual name ascribed to it) low brow art movement, championed by Juxtapose art magazine amongst others, which is way broad enough to encompass your work.

HOTCHA, Bayby!

Thank ya thank ya thank ya.

Yeah I really hated LA when we first got out here for a long time, but I'm glad we stuck it out. It has been amazing for my art "career" (I can actually start calling it a career now I think)

I'm digging "Ringmaster".
