Been playing Far Cry 3. It's incredibly fun, and they fixed a lot of what was wrong with FC2. Even so, it's a little weird that oppressed island tribe has been waiting for some white kid from Santa Monica to come and be better than them at everything.

I especially like that you can go completely off the rails after a single mission ans just start raiding outposts and doing whatever. Sure, playing the story missions unlocks a couple extra tattoo abilities, but you don't feel obligated to play them just so you'll have enough unlocked to make the free roaming stuff more viable, if that makes any sense.

There's also a little bit of something I really enjoy in a game that you don't see that often: the ability to go off somewhere that's more or less too advanced for you early on and steal a bunch of weapons that would otherwise take more time to buy/unlock. I got an SMG and a sniper rifle early on, and all I had to do was stab some red guy in the heart!

Also, I nearly jumped out of my skin the first time I ran through a river and discovered the game has crocodiles. And then I never saw a second one. :\

I got as many trophies as I could in the two Toejam and Earl games, I'm early in playing through Assassin's Creed III.

i like the yakuza series but the 3rd has a few missions removed and some side stuff aswell from it's japanese counter part

I liked it, and it didn't really bother me that the utterly inscrutable game of mahjong was omitted. I don't know why they cut it out, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the game.

Also, no one in that entire series has figured out that if knock someone down who has a gun, they still have that gun.

I just finished getting all the collectibles in that crap game a few days ago. I haven't had the energy to finish it yet, though. I better find it soon, I'm dying to play Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is basically all the best stuff from FC1 and FC2 without the annoying shit. Best FPS in years, i'd say. Loving the map editor as well.

I'm glad I'm hearing such good things about Far Cry 3. I decided to preorder it at the last second after reading an article on it in Game Informer, looks like it was a good idea.

Gonna finish up FC2 tonight and go at it.

Also I hated FC1, just completely hated it. I wasted like three days and only got halfway through the game. I ended up just turning god mode on and plowing through it.
