i NEED new serial television to watch

i think serial is the right term... anyway

the only series of shows that i've actually watched and followed are house, the office, 30 rock... that's pretty much it as of recently. i've been rewatching the office season 2 and 3, and as funny as i still find it, i need something new. netflix has a wonderful online movie viewer and they have quite a few shows you can watch in seasons

SO YEAH I NEED SOME NEW SERIES TO WATCH AND I FEEL LIKE IF I START WATCHING LOST NOW I'LL BE A POSER :(

Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Sopranos, The Office (UK) are all worth catching up on. I actually prefer the US version of the Office since they got the awful first series out the way but the UK one is still good.

What's funny is that I have never seen 1 episode of Lost and they are gonna start playing it on SciFi.

Pub Lover Aug 18th, 2008 03:48 PM

Are you the Program Scheduler for the SciFi channel?

Because if not then it isn't funny. >:

Merely Ironic. :rolleyes

Tadao Aug 18th, 2008 03:52 PM

More like moronic :rolleyes

I am, of course, using the Canadian meaning of Irony. The one with the rain on wedding days and forks when you need spoons & such.

If you can get the "Young Ones" on DVD. I think you'll like it.

the thick of it :posh

WhiteRat Aug 18th, 2008 08:41 PM

Deadwood, Ox, Jericho, Arrested Development. Can't go wrong with any of those.

Fathom Zero Aug 18th, 2008 11:31 PM

Dark Shadows

What's really so bad about Lost? The only reasons for hating Lost I've heard so far are just misconceptions.

But then again I used to bash that show without ever seeing it as well :(

If you want my opinion, I'd at least try it. Hell, all the episodes are on ABC's website for free.

did you watch all of battlestar galactica yet, what i've seen of it has been fantastic

Krythor Aug 19th, 2008 08:42 AM

I liked Lost to begin with but the second season was boring and the third season was corny, what with that terrible prison set and whatnot. That was when I stopped watching. Maybe it got better.

I'm a big fan of Entourage. Seasons 1-3 are already out on DVD and 4 is coming soon. The 5th season will be on HBO in mid September, I believe. That's my favorite cereal to watch

I second the vote for Dexter. Season 2 is out on DVD now, so you can catch up on it before the 3rd starts.

Also, House isn't bad, but it's kind of formulaic at this point.

btw that picture is from weeds, in case you didn't know >:

Zomboid Aug 20th, 2008 05:43 PM

Dexter, The Sopranos, and Weeds are all great. Secret Diary of a Call Girl isn't bad either, partly because the lead chick is really hot :O

Mockery Aug 20th, 2008 10:37 PM

Dexter.

Ant10708 Aug 29th, 2008 03:42 PM

Dexter, 24, Prison Break and Heroes (season 1)

RaNkeri Aug 29th, 2008 04:07 PM

Dexter. Watched it for the first time this summer and I fucking love it.

Fathom Zero Aug 29th, 2008 04:32 PM

Generation Kill isn't a series, but still.

Neen Aug 29th, 2008 05:59 PM

Monk is an OK show.

Schimid Aug 29th, 2008 10:14 PM

Dexter. My girlfriend and I watched the entire two seasons of it and are eagerly awaiting the third. It's a great show.

I just recently downloaded season one of Mad Men...I hear it's really good too, I just can't find the drive to actually watch it.

Dexter and Weeds.
