Pub, Pratchett is writing childrens books. The MacFeegle are in some of them. Matbe this character is from there.

I read Wyrd Sisters when I was seven, apart from the trees being called bastards which made me giggle alot, I don't see why it wasn't a perfectly ok childrens book.
I'd apply that to the rest of the series too.

It's hardly heavy on adult themes.
