THE GOOD DEALS ON DVD THREAD

when you see a good deal, SQUEAL!

http://www.deepdiscount.com/Anchor-B...2VVviewcat.htm

Deepdiscount's anchor-bay buy-one-get-one-free deal. Among the titles are SLEDGE HAMMER seasons 1 & 2; so you can pick up the entire series for 18 bucks.

Mockery Feb 19th, 2007 06:16 PM

Good call Jix... I always try to post good DVD deals when I see 'em and I always like it when other people do the same. I'm gonna go ahead 'n sticky this thread as it will surely come in handy in the future.

Zomboid Feb 19th, 2007 08:01 PM

Those hunter and astro boy dvds are looking mighty tempting :O

Mockery Feb 20th, 2007 01:59 PM

What about Silk Stalkings? Back in the day, that show was like softcore porn on regular cable. Can't believe there were 5 seasons of it haha.

Zomboid Feb 20th, 2007 04:24 PM

No cop show can compare to Hunter, even if it does have controversial chemistry between the main characters :O

GOOD DEAL:

I went to best buy to rebuy Boogie Nights on DVD; they priced it down to $9.99. My DVD I got like 7 years ago, is very glitchy. So I went and bought it. I also bought Magnolia, it was also $9.99. I never saw the whole thing; I remember seeing the first half on VHS and NOT liking it very much, but decided maybe I'll like it now. I get to the register, and to my suprise, It only cost me a little over 10 bucks for BOTH together :eek

I am really confused as to why, but I got BOOGIE NIGHTS for free for buying Magnolia with it.

So maybe try it if you like those movies and don't have them.

At this red-hot moment, KIDS IN THE HALL: SEASON ONE is 8 bucks at the A&E store:

http://store.aetv.com/html/product/index.jhtml?id=71203

That's a fantastic deal, if you don't already have it

(I payed 60 bucks for it)

Zomboid Mar 14th, 2007 09:18 AM

That really is an awesome deal :O. I'm watching kids in the hall on tv right now.

GADZOOKS Mar 15th, 2007 06:38 PM

I'm sure I bragged about this before but Deep Discount DVD had this deal for buy one get one free on Kids In The Hall DVDs and I ended up spending 78 bucks for all 4 sets!

But oh man if they make all the seasons 8 bucks, I'm going to be sick :x

LONDONE Mar 15th, 2007 09:30 PM

I ordered it, oh man this is too good to be true

I just ordered the timanderic.com dvd like a week ago for $10 and this makes it feel like a colossal ripoff

EDIT: Hey, each day I look at that page again, the Availability date is pushed back another day. On Wednesday when I ordered it said March 28th, now it's saying March 30th. I hope this isn't a bust

Jixby Phillips Mar 16th, 2007 03:09 PM

Season 2 was something like 12 bucks, but they took it off the site :(

kon Mar 16th, 2007 06:56 PM

Jixby Phillips Mar 17th, 2007 03:47 AM

HEY GUYS STOP FIGHTING

Not as good as 8 bucks for Kids in the Hall, but an okay deal if you've had your eyes on the Newsradio sets:

Newsradio Seasons 1 & 2, 3, 4 for 16 bucks each

Nighttrap38 Apr 11th, 2007 08:08 PM

There's a place in town where I can get anime DVD's for 1/4 of the regular price. I think they're imported from China, though, as the quality of the subtitles vary and there are usually not English dubs.

executioneer Apr 11th, 2007 09:33 PM

but they're anime :(

JohnBoy Apr 13th, 2007 04:40 PM

Awesome deal:
http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...ductId=5752809

What is best in life?
To Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of their women!

Second best is owning both these movies.... Did I mention Conan The Destroyer has Wilt the Stilt swinging a mace?

Zomboid Apr 16th, 2007 04:21 PM

Fuck. I had to pay $25 for that :(

Jixby Phillips May 28th, 2007 04:10 AM

It's another buy-one-get-one-free thing from deepdiscount.com, for A&E titles. That includes Kids in the Hall and other stuff:

http://www.deepdiscount.com/A-E-Buy-...e=BUYONEGETONE

Hey, does anybody have a line on them doing another one of their 30% off sales? I missed the last one, and now is about the time for them to do it again.

Rongi May 28th, 2007 12:07 PM

Jixby, i think that offer ended :(

Jixby Phillips May 28th, 2007 09:34 PM

Doesn't the expiration date say 5/28? That's today right?

It's still up on the front page, anyway

Rongi May 28th, 2007 10:50 PM

i cant tell if it says 5/28 or 5/26 :/

i'm kind of hesitant to take the deal. i really want to get kids in the hall season 2 and 3 though :(
