Seen any good SciFi originals lately?

I saw Beauty and the Beasts a few weeks ago and I was thoroughly entertained. The main character, a saucy looking blond who wore a "medieval" mini-skirt the entire time, looked strikingly familiar to me. Half-way through the movie I realized that it's the hot chick from the remake of Planet of the Apes:

i think i got a 96% on my last stupid test and the two questions i got wrong were ones i had right at first and then changed because of my dumbass over-thinking :(

i really wanted a 100 so i could feel good about myself :( [/blog]

Zhukov Mar 10th, 2010 04:45 AM

Yeah but I hear that in America it's only ever a multiple answer type of test, so don't feel even slightly good about yourself.

Fathom Zero Mar 10th, 2010 05:00 AM

There's no easier test.

kahljorn Mar 10th, 2010 05:08 AM

i think essays are easier, but i guess multiple choice is kind of easy. although ive been in several classes that were multiple choice and the class average for the tests was below 60 percent.

RaNkeri Mar 10th, 2010 07:04 AM

Don't really care about grades anymore, although I do admit that getting a good grade feels good.

Zhukov Mar 10th, 2010 07:12 AM

I was scared shitless of essay writing in an exam scenario, but it feels good when you get a good mark, yes. Having everything come together and finishing on time is a good enough feeling.

Kitsa Mar 10th, 2010 09:31 AM

wow, rankeri, finland medical school must be way different from american medical school then.

One of my cats just scared the everloving shit out of me. She's an adopted stray and a little wrong in the head, and she's always getting underfoot, so I decided to put her in the (attached) garage. I know for a fact I put her there. The other cats even ran toward the door to get her to go out and then did a u-turn and looked at me like, "Close the door, you fool!". They ditched her. I saw her standing in the garage when I closed the door.

Then I came back and sat down at the computer and she jumped up on the back of my chair.

What the fuck?!?

I went back to the door to the garage, still shut. It's not the kind of door a cat could push open. I have absolutely no idea how she got back in so quickly, or at all. I don't know how she could have gotten from the garage into the house if it wasn't through that door...can't think of any vents or anything.

Has the cat mastered teleportation?

Either way, with the cat being psycho anyway, it makes the whole thing creepy as hell.

Zhukov Mar 10th, 2010 09:46 AM

Tunnels?

Nice that the other cats ditched it as soon as they saw it was a gonner. Or so they thought.

Pub Lover Mar 10th, 2010 09:55 AM

This is where I come when Corey Haim dies.

the american students I went with were halfway to a bleeding ulcer by the end of the first class. Test scores were everything.

Yeah, that's sort of sad. The other cats don't like this one. They ran toward the door to get her to run too, and as soon as she was out they turned around like, "Yeah! Ditched her!"

I went out there, but I can't find any ducts or anything she might have gotten through. I'm now testing it again, and she hasn't gotten back in yet.

Well, it's just my opinion, but a test score doesn't always tell the truth. I study every day and I think my knowledge is good(although you can always do better), but I still might do mistakes (for example forgetting to write something down) when I answer to questions. Also, some of the test questions so far have been retarded.

So I don't care about what grade I get (although I try to be above average) as long as I'm aware that I know my stuff. Getting a good grade helps to build my self confidence, though.

Kitsa Mar 10th, 2010 10:23 AM

Well, of course test scores can be bullshit. I mean this in a "what have the powers that be done to me today" sort of way.

Pubbles: That was mean.

I missed that one, it seems like every time I turn on SciFi they have Caprica or whatever that thing is on. She looks like a porn star. I can dig that.
