No offense Rycgo, but it sounds like you're charging a bit much for one. I've seen 'em go for much cheaper than that with more games.

that's a really good price Rygo.. don't listen to him he's trying to con you. He tried to put rufies in my pop so he could see my brown hole

I wouldnt spend 100$ on a tg16 anyway. I saw 1 go for 100 with like 15 games...

Where do you buy a Turbo Grafx 16? No used game stores have it.

mostly ebay.. I saw one in a pawn shop, but it was broken :(

Shit, now I want one. :(

Used game stores don't carry most of the lesser consoles from back in the day. Panasonic 3DO, Atari 2600, Jaguar and Lynx, Sega Master System, TG 16, Colecovision, Gemini, NeoGeo, Vectrex... If you find any of these for a reasonable price you should get them. Finding games for some of them might be a challenge.

You really want to own a piece of video game history? I suggest buying a Telstar. Those were considered the first video game ever created. They go for pretty cheap on ebay... I've seen them sell for $10. I have one, but that's only because I payed $1 + $4 s/h. It'll be worth more one day.

I thought the Odosey was the first system. It came out in the 1970s.

McClain May 19th, 2003 11:15 PM

Technically it was Pong, but the first single-chip, multi-game capable console was Telstar.

Wow, the gun on that thing looks better than the ones we have now.

I HAD A TELSTAR!!! I bought it at a garage sale for a dollar at a garage sale. Anyways, I got bored with it after a while and took it apart. The insides still are not as cool as the inside of an C64.

Boy nothing was funner than pong, hockey pong, and solo pong. The real challenge was finding a TV it worked on.

McClain Aug 21st, 2003 11:58 PM

They'll work on any cable-ready TV as long as you have the right RF switch.
