Are the Masters of Horror episodes worth checking out?

There's a lot of shit, but I really liked S02E02 "Family" and S02E02 "Sounds Like". S01E10 "Sick Girl" was ok too.

Ex Leper May 24th, 2011 07:13 PM

I will watch those first, thanks.

Got through the first ep of season 3 of Dexter and just now realized that this is the same man as the emcee in Cabaret. Duh.

I only watched the first season, most of the episodes from that are worth watching but few lived up to the title Masters of Horror. A select few were real garbage though, "Incident On and Off a Mountain Road", "Fair Hair Child", and the absolute worst, "Dance of the Dead".

Dance Of The Dead was the worst episode of the whole show. Aside from the original idea, it failed on every possible level. It was the shittiest thing Tobe Hooper has ever made, and he has made a lot of stinkbombs.

Spoilers!

Yeah, it was fun. :)

So I bought 3 seasons of Californication on DVD after seeing 2 episodes. Hope I like it!

My current series marathon is The Cosby Show. It's very dull compared to his hilarious stand up and Footbal appearances.

Dimnos May 28th, 2011 10:08 PM

The cosby show gets a million times funnier one you get married and have kids.

Guitar Woman May 28th, 2011 11:21 PM

So how about that Ganger bullshit?

Spoilers!

Oh yes.

Spoilers!

oh noooooooo

Spoilers!

Fuck yes, son. Do you hear me? FUCK YES.

This is officially the best season of new Doctor Who.

Kitsa May 29th, 2011 07:40 AM

My favorite Cosby Show joke is when Vanessa comes home all melodramatic and says that the kids treat her differently at school because she's rich.

Cliff Huxtable sort of stares for a moment, and then says, "You're not rich; your parents are rich. You have nothing."

Stopped Twin Peaks for a while because it was depressing the almighty fuck out of me. Guess I'd better start again.

MarioRPG May 29th, 2011 04:30 PM

There's a good 5 or 6 episode stretch of Twin Peaks that is just horrible, boring and hard to watch. Thats what made it so hard for me to watch that series anyway

Fathom Zero Jun 1st, 2011 12:22 AM

<3 twin peaks

Esuohlim Jun 1st, 2011 01:11 AM

I've been meaning to watch Twin Peaks for like three goddamn years but then I completely forget about it until someone brings it up again :(

EDIT: Location change should fix that :D

Mad Melvin Jun 1st, 2011 06:07 AM

I haven't seen Twin Peaks either, apart from a few episodes here and there. The episodes I saw were a bit boring, but then again I had no idea who the characters were etc.

Maybe I should just buy the boxset. It's cheap as hell too.

Kitsa Jun 1st, 2011 06:24 AM

It's on netflix instant so that made it pretty easy for me. I like David Lynch, but there's only so much I can take at a time. I found I could do two or three eps in a day, but if I watched more than that I started either feeling weird or getting nightmares.

Twin Peaks' comedy makes it much easier to watch than other David Lynch stuff. It's sort of like Blue Velvet meets Northern Exposure, if that makes any sense.

Fathom Zero Jun 1st, 2011 11:15 AM

Hahaha. Apt description. Yeah, its weirdness is terrifying and hilarious in equal measures.

10,000 Volt Ghost Jun 1st, 2011 11:35 AM

The twin peaks movie isn't a bad starting place either

Kitsa Jun 1st, 2011 01:25 PM

I think the MC Chris video is the best place to start.

Edit:

Dimnos Jun 1st, 2011 03:00 PM

:agreed

Franklin and bash is pretty funny. Mark paul gosselar and breckin meyer go around kicking ass in the courtroom.

Esuohlim Jun 1st, 2011 10:40 PM

I could probably take Breckin Meyer in a fight

Fathom Zero Jun 1st, 2011 10:51 PM

I'm pretty sure a wet paper bag could take Brecken Meyer in a fight.
