This is just an example, I just need to know how to find the answer.

WELL BUDDY YOU CAN'T SOLVE A TWO-VARIABLE PROBLEM WITH ONE EQUATION, SO WE CAN ONLY GO AS FAR AS THIS:

c + 8d = 180

c = -8d + 180

Well, "d" could stand for 15, and "c" could be 60.

But, again, it's too open ended.

Remember the order of operations. Also, ask whoever assigned you that you that problem how close the variables have to be.

I didn't make math. Don't look at me like I'm dumb. I don't get the damned thing, either. That's why I asked. Anyways, it's all in relation to angles. Thanks for helping as much as you could, though.

There are infinite potential values of c and d that could follow the relationship cited as the "problem" itself. It looks like a predicate to linear algebra of some sort, which I played with a little in high school and hated with it got all limit-laden in college electric engineering problems. I don't remember how to do that, I just remember being all like "I DON'T WANT TO FIND THE LIMIT, IT'S GODDAMN ALGEBRA YOU FUCK".

What I mean, is you should be able to solve for something like

10x+5y=9
4y+3z=11
3x+8z=9,453,748,936

But taken individually, none of those equations can actually tell you anything meaninful.

I love when teachers give you open ended algebra problems, then look at you with a dark glare when you get it wrong, due to it's large open endedness, like it was supposed to be an obvious answer, or something

That happens to me every time. Everyone else gets some magic number that matches everyone else's except for mine. :( Perhaps I just don't think like that. Oh, and thanks Seth!
