I don't even know what you would call this. VHS art? I've seen this sort of thing done as gifs and that takes a lot more effort (read: is more impressive). This is the result of a late night Doc Mock binge plus dicking around with screencaps in a photo editing program. I like to think they bring back memories of watching a favorite movie over and over again and whatever personal thoughts or memories that go along with that.
